You simply stand there silently a few moments. You're not used to the way you're feeling right now, as you realize your mouth is wide open, but you find yourself unable to speak.

Luckily, Kortney soon breaks the silence for you.

"You must be John Doe ," she states in a flat tone.

Still silent, you simply nod.

"I'm Kortney," she adds.

"I... I know that," you reply, slowly regaining your voice.

"I'm guessing you also recognize what I'm wearing," she says, before taking a turn as thought modelling it for you.

You nod again.

"That's something you wore in 'Kortney Kills'," you tell her (like she doesn't herself recall).

"Good!" she replies. "So you know I'm a killer."

"Yep!" you tell her. "Which is why I'm leaving while I can still remember the way out!"

You then honestly turn back the way you came.

"Wait!" she calls out, & you turn to face her again. "I only kill if required to protect the company! I got an E-mail yesterday, telling me that today, you'd become the head of the company."

"Yeah," you say. "So?"

"I think now, it officially becomes my job to protect the head of the company," she replies.

You can't help but laugh.

"How do you plan on doing that?!" you ask her.
