What did it say?
"You..." can't remember?!
"That doesn't seem right." Tracy said, puzzled by her new tattoo.
"Really? This is what you asked for." Cass said.
"I know, but something doesn't look right. Did you misspell something?"
"No, I'm sure I didn't misspell it."
"Maybe it's the lighting?"
"Could be. Should look fine after it heals too."
"Right."
"Make sure you don't let anything cover it up except this plastic wrap for at least a day. Don't want any ink to seep out."
"Of course."
"Alright, lets ring you up. Bring your stuff to the front and I'll process your payment."
Tracy gulped and nodded. Something in her gut told her something was wrong, but her brain told her everything was fine. She mulled it over and figured it was just jitters after having her first tattoo. She took her wallet from her jeans, and stared at her clothes forlornly.
'Farewell, I guess.' Tracy thought, as she walked out of the room and down the hall, catching the eyes of Bert and his customer as she walked by. She covered herself as she realized they'd seen her, but she had to remove the arm from her chest to open the door to the lobby. As she opened it, she was surprised to see customers lined up, waiting to be helped. Cass was trying to calm them down when Tracy entered.
All eyes were on the naked girl, who was only wearing thigh high boots. There were mostly men, but a couple women were present, and they were staring too, no believing what they were seeing. Tracy slowly strode up to the counter and Cass charged her for the tattoo. Tracy took her credit card out of her wallet, handing it to Cass. As she did, her arm tattoo was plainly visible, emblazoned along her forearm for all to see:
"You have an ALLERGY TO CLOTHING."
"Is that for real?" A man asked.
"Apparently. I was diagnosed today, and I won't have my medication for a while. Sorry, it's a little embarrassing. I just needed to remind myself." Tracy explained.
The man nodded, and Tracy put her card away, dropping her wallet into her boot for safe keeping as she went home.
"Remember, until you get your medication, you need to come here the same time every night just so I can make sure your tattoo is healing nicely and it doesn't become infected." Case said as Tracy nodded and left.
"You know she'll be fine tomorrow, right?" The man asked.
"Right, but why wouldn't you want that hanging around here every night if you could?" Cass retorted.
"Oh, that poor girl doesn't know what she's in for, does she?" He asked.
"Nope. In fact, she has AGS so even if she did, she'd forget it."
"Oh, you're a real sly fox, Cass!" The man joked.
"Careful, I don't swing that way Carl. You can come and hang here as long as she comes in, but what we do in my workshop stays private, ok? Also, don't give her too many 'ideas' while you're here. You can look, but don't touch. That goes for all of you!"
A collective groan sounded around the parlor.
"Yeah, yeah. Who's next?!" Cass said, settling in for a long night.
Though, perhaps not as long as Tracy's was going to be...
How's Tracy's night going?
