"That uptight Sage, Rauru!"

"That uptight sage, Rauru!" she exclaimed, laughing. "That old man wouldn't know a smile if someone dangled one in front of that beard of his!"

After thinking about it for a moment, Link had to agree it was a good idea of a prank. After all, the old man was incredibly serious, and he'd heard he was also the owl, Kaepora Gaebora, whom Link often found aggravating. However, he asked Darunia how exactly they would be able to get there, exactly. So far, Link didn't have any way to enter the Chamber of Sages.

This question left Darunia smiling fiercely. "That's because you're not a sage, boy. Come closer, I'll take us there now." Following that advice, Link stepped closer to the very tall and muscular Gerudo warrior, who then transported both of them out of the Fire Temple in a beam of blue light.

Once Link was able to see again, he found himself in the Chamber of Sages, and Rauru was giving him and Darunia the stink eye. "Who are you two Gerudo, and how did you get here?!" he asked, outrage in his voice.

It was Link's turn to smile brightly as he quickly closed the distance between himself and Rauru, saying, "It'll be easier if we show you." The Sage of Light must have been taken completely by surprise, as Link was able to touch his hand without any tangible resistance. For a moment, Link could feel the curse take hold once again, and didn't notice as his body lost most of it's toned muscle mass, compacting his frame into something much more feminine and light.

Rauru was going through much more noticeable changes, as a tide of darker, Gerudo brown skin overtook his pale complexion, his large, robust frame collapsed in on itself, and his robes began to disappear. As his beard faded away into nothingness, his old face regained some of the vigor of youth, the wrinkles disappearing, and it also became much more feminine, while retaining some of the sharp features of the Gerudo. His clothes had turned into a white, more conservative version of the standard Gerudo outfit, and Rauru's body became much more slender and curvy, filling out the clothes quite well. In the end, Rauru had become an older Gerudo than Darunia, looking as though she was in her mid-forties. Her skin and figure, however, had all the smoothness of youth, and her long red hair clashed well with her white robes.

At first, the new Gerudo just stood there, stunned. "Do you understand now?" Darunia asked, laughing. "I'm Darunia, and that's Link! I thought maybe an old fart like you might want to see things from a new perspective."

In response, Rauru looked at Darunia and gave him a tight, humorless smile. "I'm still your elder, young lady. And your superior." Then she looked at Link, interested. "I must say, this is actually quite fascinating. I could probably break this curse in a moment, but right now, I'm not feeling like it. No, I think I'll stay this way for a while."

"Um," came a quiet, high voice from behind them all, and they turned to see Saria, looking on in shock. "What's going on?"
