"Let's give her a gang tat!"

"Yeah? What?" one of the guys asked, ever the smooth talker.

The girl smiled with delight, the underlying meanness destroying what might have been a hint as to what she'd looked like when she was innocent and carefree instead of a jaded addict and member of a gang.

"Let's give her a tat. Like a gang brand you know?"

"Yeah right. Her in our gang? She wouldn't last a day!"

"Not a member of the gang. We just make a tat for her. Something that says she was used by us or something. Who cares what happens to her after anyway."

Their leader grunted, forestalling any protests the group might have had.
