"It's a trap!" --Star Wars, the Return of the Jedi
The Titans arrived at the entrance of the Brotherhood's abandoned base, and they could see nothing out of the ordinary except for one of the two doors partially opened; No alarms, no guns or robots for security. "Dude, the security here stinks," Beast Boy mused.
"Maybe that's because this place could still be abandoned," Raven retorted, making his eye twitch and a cross-popping vein appear, as well as one of his bottom fangs.
"Careful, Titans," Robin warned. "We could still be heading for a fight, and we need to get Star out of here."
"Well, let's stop talking and start searching," Cyborg suggested. The team went through the open door: Robin first, then Cyborg, thirdly Raven, and Beast Boy bringing up the rear. Cyborg had activated his built-in shoulder searchlight, shining it back and forth as they walked down the empty corridor. As they continued on, a figure watched them from the shadows with his eyes glowing crimson. Presently, the four came upon a junction where there hallway went 4 different ways. They looked around, wondering which way Starfire was. Raven pressed two fingers on both temples on her head, trying to ascertain her location by her thoughts.
"I don't know where she is. I can't hear her thoughts," she informed everyone else. So Robin told his friends to take different paths, to split up to find her. So, everyone did. Beast Boy had turned into a green bloodhound, hoping to sniff her out while Cyborg still had a light on. They had no idea what they were in for, as one by one they fell: Robin got pinned to a wall with Plasmus' slime and couldn't move or breathe, much less break away; Raven, Cyborg, and Beast Boy all got a heavy dose of Overload's electricity, falling down motionless. They were brought in and placed in the same devices the Brain devised for the Doom Patrol: one for Raven to block her telepathic powers and hurt her; one for Beast Boy so that even his biggest animals couldn't break him out and could shrink around him; one for Robin, as soon as he had been stripped of his weapons and gadgets; and as for Cyborg, his batteries had been drained and his body was up against a wall away from everyone. ... The Titans were in a huge predicament!
