"I want you to be able to control half the people in the world any way you wanted"

I stopped a minute to think. Surely there must be some way for me to take over complete control. Or at least gain it back.

"I want you to control half of everyone in the world. They'll do whatever you say."

"Done," dad laughed. He snapped his fingers and a shimmer occurred. He looked at me and was about to say something when I snapped my fingers. He froze.

"You may control half the people in the world, but I now control all of them. And as my first act, I will take away your powers."

He unfroze. He tried to snap his fingers. It didn't work. Not at all. He whimpered.

"But I wanted-- I wanted--"

"You wanted to control me," I said. "But I will give you a chance to regain some power. Now how shall we start?"
