Chapter 25 by DangerSloth
How does Alain answer?
"I am here to see you."
I was doubling down. I didn't come here for nothing. Though I was playing with true fire.
Tsunade's eyes grew wide. No doubt I was being bold.
"Alain," said Tsunade. She was almost speechless.
"Do you understand how you are coming off? I mean, you already have a girlfriend. My best friend. Maybe I am just misunderstanding all of this." Those were good points, but I had already put myself in this position. I wasn't going to deny it now.
"I care a lot about Shizune," I said, "I have no idea why she cares about me, or why I am somehow good enough for a moment of her time." I didn't know why I even mentioned her at a time like this. But somehow my words were coming out.
"I don't really know what it is Tsunade," I said, "but my mind is drawn to you, just like you draw my eye. I barely know what I am even saying." I closed my eyes for a moment, thinking how much danger I was in. Too much truth had come from my mouth. Nothing to be gained now, no turning back.
"You are breathtaking," I said. I opened my eyes and looked at the face of a stunned Tsunade. "I know you are my boss, but if I can't tell a pretty girl I like her in the apocalypse, then when can I be honest." I felt heat, as my mouth closed. Tsunade finally realizing that I was done talking. Her stunned facial expression was replaced by a calm one. I didn't know how she did it.
"Shizune is going to kill," said Tsunade. I began to freak out, wondering why I had ever decided this was a good idea. Why would I try flirting with Tsunade?
"Me," said Tsunade. What? Why would Shizune kill her? Tsunade took a deep breath and used her nails to scratch her neck.
"I was too flirty with you," said Tsunade, "allowing you to see my bra, even my eye contact has been improper with you." She sighed loudly. Putting her hand over her eyes.
"I don't know why I do it," said Tsunade, "I don't act this way with any other guys. Ever. You getting a crush and thinking I am pretty is only natural." You responded naturally.
"Thinking you are breathtaking," I said, "breathtaking." Tsunade bit her lip, staring again at me. I didn't know what her reaction was, only that I wondered what it would be like to bite her lip.
"I need some time," said Tsunade, "I have a task for you. Complete it, and give me time to think. Clear my head." I shook my head, looking at her straight in the eyes. Again she covered her face.
"Deliver.. this to Minato's family," said Tsunade,"please." That would be pretty easy. It would also be good to be able to check on them.
"Hai," I responded. I grabbed a basket off the table, and quietly walked away. Tsunade was silent. I hoped that whatever she was thinking may work out in my favor. It didn't seem like she planned on telling Shizune that I was coming on to her. That was a miracle.
Where does the trip take Alain?
