"Well to be slaves of course. I mean, I was saving up money to buy you, obviously, should have been ready next month. But I guess today was my lucky day."

A few years ago humanity ascended into galactic society, encountering a plethora of different spacefaring species. Integration is still ongoing. For example you are one of the first people to fly with a Xarian named Frax, who is part a race that has had next to no interaction with humans so far. In the last months travelling the two of you have formed a fast friendship. However you have no idea how this friendship will change after Frax saved you life.
