"Are you asking us now?

"I was just too hesitant since you guys seemed so... innocent," Billy continued. "And we really enjoyed your company. It never felt quite right in the moment."

"Are you asking us now?" I finally blurted out, laughing nervously.

"No!' Billy answered right away. "No, no. I mean, well, unless you'd be open to it."

This is definitely not what I had expected from this night! Billy and Rene had been fun and down to earth and we always got along so well and now things had taken quite a hard right turn.

Although I honestly can't say that the feelings I had against it were as strong as I expected. To be honest, Billy was hot. He was a bit taller than Scott, in good shape, and had a dark goatee that framed a very cute but masculine face. He was also quite charming.

"Ummm..." was all I could figure out to say. Where was Scott?! I looked down at my drink in my hands. Part of me wanted to take one big gulp and say "yes!". What am I thinking?

"I'm just saying that this has been really nice, getting to know you guys," Billy explained. "We are great with being friends who have drinks and dessert, or go to the movies. And if it were to develop into something more like that we would definitely be open to it. But if not, that's OK too."

I didn't know what to do. A million different confusing thoughts flew through my head. Scott finally chimed in.

"I don't think..." he looked at me and I think he could tell right away that I was considering it. "I mean, right now? I'm not so sure."

"It doesn't have to be right now. It doesn't have to be any time. Like I said, if it happens, it happens. If not, you guys are great. We don't want to lose some friends over it."

"We probably need to think about it," Scott replied.

"No worries at all," Billy said. "Look, we were the same way the first time. It's not easy, it's a bit scary, but once we decided to go for it, it ended up being something we really enjoyed." Billy did most of the talking and I couldn't help but notice Rene sitting back, relaxed, and staring right at Scott.

Am I crazy? Is Mandy really considering this?

I thought for certain she'd be the first to shoot down the idea. I'd half expected her to throw our new friends out of the house and tell me we are never going to see them again. But there was something about her hesitations. Something about the looks she was giving me, the looks she was giving Billy, that made me think she might actually be considering it.

And the way that Rene was causally giving me a knowing look. A look that said she knew that I would want to do it.

I honestly had no idea what to do. Why wasn't Mandy helping out here? Her lack of disgust was making me think she might actually be feeling the opposite. I took a deep breath.
