Omnipotent Procedure

Chapter 1 by LucyMatthews LucyMatthews

"I'm sorry, its just that there's nothing left for me here", Rachel, your once girlfriend, tells you as she gets up and walks out of the Cafe. You look down at the table, your water barely touched, your only partially eaten breakfast

"Tough break kid," A waitress tells you as she places the check for your meal on the table and walks off somewhere, you really don't care. You stare down at the check, 16.26, you feel hatred mixed with sorrow as your brain process what just happened.

Your girlfriend for six months just broke up with you for the worst of reasons, she was sick of you. Biting your lip trying to hold back the tears you slide the check away and pretend to read the paper to avoid anyone noticing your pain. A sharp looking salesman slides into the booth.

"Ouch kid," he says to you showing his sympathy, but you saw right through it, he was only trying to profit from your pain.

"Get lost," you tell him blowing him off annoyed by his presence.

"Hey now, I didn't do anything to you, I actually come to offer a preposition a true chance in a lifetime, no jokes here!" He says with a bit of enthusiasm.

"Oh, yea, what is it?" you say sarcastically getting even more annoyed at him before.

The salesman frowns for a second at your sarcasm but quickly starts smiling again "Me and my researchers have come up with something that will make you all-powerful only thing is, none of us have the right anatomy to live through it, You do however, your one in a million you are, probably one in a billion to tell you the truth.

"Oh really now," you say not buying this crap he's telling you at all"

"Yes, really now, were talking some really powerful stuff here William, you may even become omnipotent over everyone in this world.

You look up wondering how he knew your name, are these guys doing research on there targets now? you think, "Do you really think I am impressed that you know my name, but--" you pause for a moment before he interrupts your train of thought.

"-But your wondering, wait a minute maybe this guy here’s telling the truth" he says pleased with his timing, then he leans in a bit closer and he seems to lose his salesman feel, "I am, I also am losing my patience so I leave the offer on the table, you don't even have to accept it now, will you come with me though?

Go with him? or...
