The Arch-Magi's Assistant

An old man in heavy gray robes looked sternly down at you as he pulled on a large, brown boot.

"I will only be gone for a week and a day," he said, summoning the other boot from across the room. "I am certain nothing... untoward will happen in my absence, correct?"

"Of course not, Master Ignoti," you assure the old mage, bowing respectfully as he stood up. "I wish you a pleasant trip and safe passage home."

The old man nodded stiffly, the makings of a small smile flittering about his lips, and turned away - within moments he was gone; leaving only a light mist around where his feet disappeared from the ground.

"Finally, some quiet around here," you sigh, thrilled to have temporary ownership of Master Ignoti's Specialist Shop for the week. Although he was widely renowned throughout the land as a master enchanter and magician, and he had always been a great mentor to you, the old mage could get VERY annoying VERY quickly if the mood struck him.
