The Appointment

The day is Saturday, April 15th, 2023. The rain splatters against your windshield as you drive to your physical. You don't have any other plans for today, and as a Remote Web Developer, your employers require a yearly check up to make sure you are maintaining your health, given that they can't check otherwise. You've never been in particularly poor shape, although you could see that you might need to gain a few pounds. Your days mostly consist of working on whatever project your supervisor has for you, then playing videogames, masturbating, and sleeping. Not the most exotic existence, but certainly sustainable. After your 15 minute commute, you arrive at the doctor's office.
