This plot takes place in a very similar world to ours with one single difference: the government decided to start a national breeding program:
There are many Breeding Facilities™ scattered across the country. Those buildings are usually large and look like hotels or schools on the first glance. Inside them, there are many small apartments consisting of either a bedroom and a bathroom or two bedrooms and a bathroom. There is also a large dining room, a gym and a large area for parties and events.
The aim of the program is to get women pregnant to help the demographic crisis. The program has been around for a long time and is fully accepted in culture. The way it works is the government sends out letters to randomly selected people aged from 18 to 26 stating that they must report to the nearest facility to participate in the program. It is illegal to decline but nobody wants to. It is seen as something everyone wants to participate in and people usually get very happy when they finally get their letter.
After getting accepted into the facility a woman will get paired with a man and they have to have sex for a week straight and attempt to breed. If the woman is still not impregnated the process continues for another week with a different man. A man stays in the facility for 4 weeks. A woman stays in the facility for up to 6 weeks or until they get pregnant, whatever happens first.
Everything is recorded so the staff knows people are fucking like they should be and the people get a sextape as a gift.
There are more rules but also customs such as how the first and last night unfold etc. There are also events so that people aren't bored.
One can also bring a friend of the same gender who hasn't been to a facility before with them and then they will be placed together in a duo apartment. Many don't do that even though their friends are begging for it because the single apartment adds to the experience. However, if they have a great bestie or bro it might make it even more fun!
One day, after a long wait, I have finally received a letter in the mail. It contained the number I was supposed to call to register for the program...
