Friday, June 21st - John Doe is finishing grading his students final papers. Being the teacher of a bunch of Juniors in High School was more work than it was worth to John. But after so many wasted years of college he couldn’t see himself anywhere else in his given situation. Not many 30 year old full time workers have to go back to living with their parents after moving out for four years of college.

John did however have something to look forward to after work everyday however. He had his secret passion which he shares with his small following online. John was an urban explorer. Going all over his state and exploring abandoned and supposedly haunted places. John however had never ran into anything paranormal but enjoyed the thrill of potentially getting caught or better yet catching something crazy on camera. John had started this would be side job sometime in college where his roommate brought him along to a “Haunted House” for Halloween and John took it upon himself to scare the shit out of him.

John finished up with the last students paper and submitted the online grades and grabbed his bag. Since it was Friday there would be no school for the next two days. Job had pre packed his car to go on an overnight expedition of a strange unmarked structure he had found previously. Locking the school door behind him John headed to his car reaching it and hopping inside. John drove for about two and a half hours out of his town to get to the structure which looked entirely untouched surrounded by a large fence and dense woods that stretched for miles. John was a bit of a rebel even after his college and high school days clipping a large enough hole in the fence to gain entry to the structure.

John knew he needed to move quickly to not get caught even if no one was around. John snatched his bag and approached the structure which upon closer inspection was far smaller than John initially thought. John turned on his camera which showed the shack like structure his flashlight gleaming off the surface of the building which appeared well kept. Snapping the lock off the shack’s door he pulled it open to reveal a surprise. Inside the shack was simply a spiraling staircase that went down for about a mile and John could see light at the bottom. John wasn’t going to stop now and descended the stairs reading a sign on the way down which read ‘WARNING - Personel Only - Mericos Testing Lab trespassers will be shot!’
