walked to the nearby beach.

The city lined up with the coastline. It used to be just a fishing village, but now most of the countries in- and export goes through the harbor here.
When we arrived at the beach we could see a big container ship leaving just then. We placed ourselves on a small grass patch and watched the seagulls fly around. The wind was really messing with her hair and dress. She grabbed a hair tie from her purse, put her hair back into a ponytail and placed her purse on her lab so the dress wouldn't reveal more than it was supposed to. We talked a while. Laid back at some point to watch the few clouds covering the sky. I had a good feeling about this.
We ignored the church bells to talk a little more, but eventually we got up and and went into town.
"What do you wanna do first? Ferris wheel or Arcade? Or do you want to just wander around for a bit?"
