When they were far enough away he explained the situation to Velvet that Lara and Nele were also working for Phillip, what exactly they were up to he didn't know yet, but as long as they stayed in the busy area of the club they had nothing to fear. He looked around for his head of security, which he found himself. He then walked up to him along with Velvet. Upon reaching him, he instructed him to have his people keep an eye on the four of them, he wanted to know what the four of them were doing throughout the evening and if any of them were acting out of the ordinary they should let him know immediately. The security chief, Lars, nodded and spoke into his arm mic. Carl and Velvet then went to a private part of the clubs. Once there, Velvet immediately asked him why he didn't just teleport the four, away.

"Even though I'm above the law, it wouldn't necessarily be the best option to just make the four of them disappear. I don't know the new police chief, Lara is the mayor after all, and that would raise questions, and we both know Phillip will react accordingly if his wife and daughter disappear after visiting my club.

Besides, we were supposed to be having our fun."

"Yeah sure, but right now, I don't feel like partying and how else are you going to get to them? "

"Many roads lead to Rome. We have time, the deal with your parents is fixed, and nobody of us has anything to fear. And you know I'll take care of you and your family, so don't worry. We should wait for one of them to make a mistake and then strike." He answered her.

It was obvious to her that the presence of the four women went against her grain, and she told him that they couldn't possibly celebrate properly without arousing Phillip's suspicions.

He had to agree with her there, but before he could answer, he got a message from his security team. He was glad to have the best of the best, equipped with a bunch of really well-hidden cameras to boot. Carl got the information that Nele and Sophie had started an argument, and had gotten into a few items in the process. This was something he hadn't expected. He had expected the squad to have a more subtle plan, but he wanted to know where this was going. He arranged for the two to be taken to his office, then took Velvet with him and informed her of what had happened. It seemed strange to her as well, and she couldn't make heads or tails of it. By the time they arrived at the office, the other two were already on the scene. Before sending the security team out of the room, he quietly told them that she should now pay attention to the other two. As soon as the security team left the room, he turned to the two.

"I don't know what happened between them, but the two of them tearing my store apart in the process is unacceptable. And don't come at me with any accusations now. I'm only interested in who pays for the damage, and I mean today!" He said firmly.

Both hesitated and it was Sophie who reacted first.

"I'm not a regular, but I doubt that woman can afford this place, I mean, what's she doing here anyway, she's the new police chief of the city, what the hell is she doing here? You should choose your clientele better." She answered confidently.

Nele stood there very surprised, it seemed to him as if the quarrel were not planned, and after he penetrated into the thoughts, the two, his assumption was confirmed. Nele was probably planning to back out.

"May I know what this argument was about? Because, if you think that Ms. Rain has no business here, then I find that very presumptuous. For one thing, she's here with the mayor, and for another, anyone can come in here if they behave themselves, and with all due respect, why would Ms. Rain, get into trouble here? Besides, who are you anyway?"

He replied politely and matter-of-factly. Now it was Sophie who was at a loss for words and who saw that Nele, for a moment, had a smile on her face. He knew that Sophie would be upset if he pretended not to know who she was. And she was upset, and it was having an effect.

"I'm Sophie House, Phillip House's wife, you must know him..." She began angrily before he interrupted her.

"No, I don't know him either, should I? But if that's how they react, I think they can probably pay for the damages, don't you?"

Nele thanked him and walked out of the room, while Sophie left his office bickering and throwing all kinds of threats at him. He knew that she, would make a threat or two come true, but not tonight.

Carl turned to Velvet and asked her if they wanted to stay at the club or if she would rather go home.
