The potion instantaneously dissolved into Piper, and the vial disappeared. Piper looked around. "What hit me?" she asked while reaching behind her to feel her back.
"I don't see anything," said Davy, the new waiter. "Um, can I have the day off today?" he asked.
"Davy, this is your third day and you already want a day off?" Piper asked a bit annoyed.
"Yeah, I had a late night last night."
"Um, you'll have to do better than that."
"Give me the day off," he said pleadingly.
"OK, take the day off." Piper was shocked by what she just said. This would leave her short-handed.
"Great, give me a raise too!" Davy said jokingly.
"Fine, you're know making a dollar an hour more." Piper was shocked again.
"Seriously?"
"Yes, now go."
"Join me. You need a day off." Davy had a crush on Piper.
"OK, I'll get my purse." As Piper went to get her purse, she tried to figure out why she was ditching work with an employee and leaving the restaurant in the lurch. She joined Davy and they left.
"Since you're in such an agreeable mood," said Davy, "buy me lunch."
"OK," said a more confused Piper.
"Great, just spend the whole day with me."
Piper too Davy to lunch at a nearby Greek cafe.
