Where is Lyna the next day?
joining Tamlen in scaring some human's
"It's a Dalish!" Lyna saw from her vantage point atop one of the tree's overlooking Tamlen's position; one of the three human's who stumbled into her lover Tamlen's path who was now aiming his bow at the three human men.
"And you three are somewhere you shouldn't be" she saw Tamlen sneer. It was no secret that Tamlen was the most anti-human member of their clan. Lyna had no doubt that Tamlen was very close to loosing his arrow's upon the three defensless human men. Where she enjoyed getting fucked by human men; Tamlen enjoyed killing human's to which Lyna wouldn't be surprised to see the three human's who stumbled into Tamlen's path dead on the floor soon.
"Let us pass, elf" one of the human's said, confidently as he foolishly took a step forward "you have no right to stop us!" he demanded.
"No?" Tamlen said, amused "we shall see about that, wont we, Ma vhenan" Tamlen continued, raising his voice slightly so that she could hear to which only moments later she dropped from the tree branch she was standing atop to join Tamlen by his side as she too had her bow aimed squarely at the three human's that had the misfortune of stumbling upon a Dalish elf who had nothing but hatred for their kind. "You're just in time" Tamlen spoke, his bow still aimed at the three unarmed human's "I found these shemlen lurking in the bushes. Bandit's, no doubt"
"W..we a...arent bandit's" the once cocky human stuttered after seeing Lyna drop down and join her fellow Dalish elf in threatening to let loose their arrow's and kill him and his companion's "we arent, I swear!" he gulped, nervously "please don't hurt us" he begged, his knee's beginning to shake.
"You shemlen are pathetic" Tamlen sneered "it's hard to believe you worthless coward's ever drove us from our homeland"
"That's an understatement" Lyna added.
"We've never done nothing to you Dalish!" one of the human's declared "we didn't even know this forest was yours"
"This forest isn't our's, fool" Tamlen corrected "you've stumbled too close to our camp. You shem's are like vermin, we can't trust you to not cause trouble"
'They do have nice big thick cock's, though' Lyna's inner thought's added.
"What do you say, Ma vhenan?" Tamlen asked as he looked over to his lover "what do you think we should do with them?"
"Shouldn't we find out what three unarmed human's are doing this far out into the forest?" Lyna said, curiously. It was certainly a mystery, human's rarely ever left their home's in the forest. Human's were not like her people, human's like these three would make easy prey for the denizen's of the forest; wolves, spider's and everything else that called the forest home would make short work of these three. The fact that these three human's managed to make it this far into the forest where Clan Mahariel was camped...strange.
"Does it matter?" Tamlen replied, irritated "well need to move camp if we let these shem's live"
"L...look, we didn't come here to make trouble" one of the human's said, nervously "we found a cave and thought it would have..."
"Treasure" Tamlen finished the human's sentence "so you're more akin to thieves than actual bandit's" Tamlen's voice sounded more and more disgusted with the three human's
"They're lying" Lyna accused, "we Dalish know these forest's better than you fool's" her bow still aimed at the three human's.
"Indeed, I wouldn't be surprised. You shemlen are liar's, it's all you ever do. That and kill those who do not worship your pathetic god" Tamlen sneered at the three human's "there are no ruin's in these forest's, we would know"
"But we have proof!" one of the human's said, confidently as he held out a small what looked to be a stone tablet no bigger than the human's hand with writing carved onto it. The human held the object out to Tamlen to take it to which he did as Lyna's lover held his bow in one hand while his other took the stone tablet from the human while Lyna kept her bow aimed at the human's in case they tried anything funny.
"This...stone has carving's" Tamlen said as he looked down and studied the stone tablet in his hand "is this elvish? written elvish?" his voice shocked at seeing such an object.
"There's more in the ruin's" the human informed "we didn't get very far in though"
Lyna sighed "and why is that, exactly? not enough defenseless elves for you to prey on?"
"There was a demon!" the human said with genuine terror in his voice "it was huge, like a bear, a big bear with black eye's and spike's all over it! thank the Maker we were able to outrun it"
Tamlen scoffed "a demonic bear. Where is this cave?" he had since returned to aiming his bow at the human's, the elvish carving kept safely within one of the pocket's of his armor.
"Just off the west, I think" the human informed "there is a cave in the rock face, and a huge hole just inside"
"Well, do you trust them, Ma vhenan" Tamlen asked "should we let them go?"
Lyna thought on it. If they let them all go free then they would no doubt stir up a mob to attempt to kill or drive their clan away and if she and Tamlen killed them all then it would no doubt cause the other human's living in the same village these human's lived in to wonder where they had dissapeared to and when the human's inevitably discovered they were slain by the Dalish then it would no doubt cause said village to take up arms and try and kill everyone in their clan. No, the safer bet would be to kill one as an example to scare the human's into not trying anything foolish.
"Kill one of them, as an example" she said casually
"Yes" Tamlen smirked
"You can't do this!" one of the human's declared "leave us alone!" he added to which the three human's quickly turned from Lyna and Tamlen and attempted to flee only for one to fall to Tamlen as his arrow shot straight and true and impaled itself in the back of the human's neck and the tip emerged from his windpipe as he fell to the floor dead.
"Shall we see if there is any truth to those shem's story?" Tamlen asked as he put his bow away to which Lyna followed suit. "These carving's make me curious"
"We should inform Keeper Marethari first" Lyna said, cautiously.
"She may be interested in these carvings, yes" Tamlen nodded "but lets see if there is anything more or if those shemlen just got lucky before we get excited" Tamlen shrugged "besides,, we're already here. Why not? now they said it was to the west"
A few wolves accosted the two elves as they traveled through the forest which proved little challenge to two of Clan Mahariel's best hunter's. The majority of the wolves fell to the duo's arrow's before they were able to get anywhere near the two elves to do any significant damage.
"This must be the cave!" Tamlen pointed out as the duo found themselves looking down into a cave, it seemed the human was telling the truth after all. The longer she stayed near the cave there was some uneasy feeling that came to Lyna which worried her "I don't recall seeing this cave before. Do you?" Tamlen asked.
"No, and that makes me wary" Lyna warned "there is something about this cave that rubs me the wrong way"
"Always the careful one" Tamlen chuckled "suit yourself, vhenan, but I'm not running back until I know there is something worth making a fuss over"
Lyna sighed, Tamlen called her always the careful one but with this cave, it was more like being the sensible one. Did Tamlen not have the strange feeling that she was getting from the cave?
how does Lyna deal with the situation?
