Small quiet footsteps approach. 'She left someone alive? Did she miss someone? I wonder who's controlling her if not me? Or is it me?'

Before you get too existential, you hear a scream. A young woman, terrified of what she sees. You run to the source of the sound and find exactly that. From her dress and behavior, you guess Ayame left her because she was what the result screen called an innocent or non-combatant. 'Whoever controls Ayame is pretty good,' you think. The village girl sees you and runs toward you, burying her head in your chest.

"What happened here!?" Her question comes out in a panicked sob. You don't answer, not wanting to frighten her any more than she already is. "You're not from here, are you?" she asks. You tell her you aren't. "Will you stay with me tonight? I do not wish to be alone with a killer around."
