They say that love is complicated, but to you, it meant something. Your parents, Zhang Fei and Xiahou Lun, for example, had a very deep connection since the Yellow Turban Rebellion, and it showed.__

And now it seemed that love was getting the best of you, especially when it came to the likes of one Guan Yinping, whom you had developed a strong friendship with since you first met each other. Guan Suo, one of her siblings, was able to point out that she can get aloof at times when she was being courted, yet it did add to her overall charm.

One day, Fang Mei, the self-proclaimed fiancee of Guan Ping, and Bao Sanniang, Suo's future wife, were able to convince you to open up to the dark-haired woman, and though you were a bit hesitant at first, you decided to go for the kill.

Later that night, after dinner, you arrived at Yinping's room and knocked on the door.

"Hello?" she asked.

"It's me, Bao. Is it allright if you let me in?" you replied.

Immediately she opened the door, and was somehow surprised at seeing you standing there. "Oh, hello, Bao. Is there something you need to talk to me about? Like tomorrow's plans?" she asked.

"Actually, there's something I want to tell you..." you said, closing the door behind you.

"Yinping, I...well, I'd been enjoying your company since we first met, but as time passed, I had been constantly wondering if I'd take things further with you. I mean we've been friends and all, but I was kinda wondering if we can be more than that." you began.

This surprised the dark-haired woman at first, but she blushed and managed to say, "Well...well, I'm a little taken aback at how assertive you are about your feelings towards me." before her gaze went sideways briefly.

"But...but to be honest, I did start to like to you as a friend, but somehow, I...I'm not sure if I can spit it out or not." she added.

"You don't need to be embarrassed or anything...I know I love you." you replied.

Yinping's eyes widened a bit, before she let out an awkward chuckle and said, "I-I feel the same way. You know, maybe...maybe we should take this further."

You smiled and took her into your arms, placing a soft, gentle kiss on her lips before carrying her to the bed. Gently laying her on her back, you began to undress her, and with her aloofness beginning to diminish, she couldn't help but return the favor.

"You know...you're actually pretty beefy." she said with a small grin as she admired your physique.

"Yeah, I'm a very athletic guy." you replied, smiling back.
