Chapter 4

Yuki-onna
Note from author: This is for future chapters.
__
Yuki-onna or a snow woman are a human-like race. The name is actually incorrect, as there are males of the race.
History
While many races where attacked and/or hunted by humans, yuki-onna were able to escape this because of their preferred environment. Hunting them down would have been impractical during ancient times and since they lived in remote areas and were not actively looking for humans, it was easier to avoid them.
Society
h
Biology
Almost biological identical to humans. The only notable differences are:
Body Temperature
A yuki-onna body temperature is significantly lower than that of a human.
Environmental Resistance
Yuki-onna thrive in cold, snowy environments, while wearing what humans would wear in a temperate environment. They cannot freeze to **** and their body fluids have a much lower freezing point than their human counterparts. The down side to all this is that temperate climates are extremely unpleasant. To them, it would be the same as if you dropped a human in the middle of a desert. This also makes them shy of coming in close contact with humans because of they have a higher body temperature. It is said, however, that a yuki-onna will not only tolerate the body heat of those they care about, but it provides them comfort similar to the winter.
Abilities
Because of their environment, the tend to have an affinity for cold or ice based magics. On the flip side, they rarely, if ever, use fire based magic.
