What do you see?
Your roommate, Scott
As I stepped into the apartment, I saw my roommate, Scott. He stood on the other side of the counter that separated the kitchen from the living room.
He was the opposite of me in a lot of ways, even before this mess with the bomb. Where I tended to try and keep myself fairly put together looking, he tended to look more... unkempt. His dark blond hair was shaggy, hanging around his ears. He had a fair amount of scruff that I knew was more from apathy toward shaving than him trying to cultivate any sort of look. His pale blue eyes were locked onto me as I stepped in.
I was a little surprised we were still roommates. We had met in college, and I wasn't sure this alternate me would run in the same groups or have the same opportunities to meet him. Or that she would become close enough to live with him.
"You're home late tonight," he said, rounding the counter. As he did, I saw that he was completely naked. I was used to catching him in his boxers at odd times, or even the occasional accident where I saw more, but this...?
I averted my eyes, backing toward the door. "Why are you naked?" I asked.
He raised an eyebrow and stopped walking. "What kinda question is that? I'm always naked around the apartment. It's never bothered you before. Hell, with the washer broken we'll both probably be nude all the time before too long."
I shook my head. "Oh, listen. Um... you heard about the attack earlier, right?"
Scott nodded. "Yeah, happened pretty close to your work, right? You manage to see anything?"
"You could say that," I said. "I was in it."
"No shit?" Scott asked, looking me over. "You don't look any different..."
I nodded, thinking over what to say next. It was an uncomfortable situation I found myself in. I had to reveal that I had been a guy, and that my world didn't view sex as an event that was acceptable in public.
Or... I could pick and choose the info I doled out, reveal only part of the truth. Scott was a cool guy, under most circumstances. If I just told him I was a guy, or that I wasn't from a world where sex was nothing, then he would probably respect that and leave me to myself.
What do you divulge?

The Reality Bomb
A life changing event
Alternate realities were discovered a decade ago. An exciting discovery, to be sure. Of course, some less than upstanding individuals decided to find a way to weaponize this discovery. They created weapons which could people into these alternate realities, or swap aspects of individuals between them. This is the story of one of the victims of such an attack. *Public*
