"Have a good night, Riley," the woman says. I nodded and climbed out of the car, pulling out my phone so that I could complete the ride. I gave her a decent tip, for her role in relieving me of the stress of getting home.
I made my way up to my apartment, glad not to spot anyone as I went. When I got there, I hesitated. I wasn't sure if Scott, my roommate, would be in there. I wasn't sure he even was my roommate in this world.
