Your Room, Mostly Unchanged

Backing out of your sister's room, you shake your head in disbelief. There was no way that Kate shouldn't have realized that your bodies had been swapped, but somehow the calculator had done just that. Your sister had looked straight at you and recognized you as her brother, despite the fact that you were now in her body, the body of a young woman. The calculator you held was not a calculator at all, but some sort of reality altering device!

You head to your bedroom in a daze, hardly noticing the sway in your hips as you walk. It wasn't a way you had ever moved before, but now you did it without thought, without effort. Your sister's muscle memory took over as you put one foot in front of the other. A blessing in disguise, you tell yourself, that you don't have to relearn everything.

In your room, alone, you close the door behind you. The bedroom looks exactly as it had before your swap, at least at first glance. Then you notice your laundry hamper. Crossing the room to investigate, a colour that normally wouldn't have been present in your dirty clothes makes itself known to your eyes.

Pink.

On top of the pile of laundry is a pair of pink panties. You pick up the garment, then notice underneath a purple t-shirt, then a sundress, then a blouse. None of the clothes you had placed in the hamper over the past week were in there. Instead, a collection of dirty clothes that your sister would have worn were waiting to be washed.

Your closet, too, is different. Every article of clothing your sister had previously held in her room seems to now be present in yours. Dresses, skirts, blouses, all sorts of clothing that you, as a male, would never wear.

This is getting weird, you think as you decide what to do next.
