You want to keep your male gender

Lifting your chin and puffing your chest, "we already made our choice. We shouldn't have to decide again."

Jessica turns away but says nothing.

You go on to say, "look I don't like it either but what else could we do? One way or another, we were either going to lose our genders or get someone else involved."

Turning back Jessica gives you a faint smile, "you're right. If not my sister, then some other innocent girl."

You try to smile back but it does not work so instead you decided to go into planning, "so, how do we convince Rachel to keep twins?"

Letting out a sigh, "I don't know." says Jessica. "We'll have to think of something though."

At that moment her phone started to ring. "Rachel," says Jessica her eyes going big as she recognizes the ring tone.

One awkward and evasive conversation later, Jessica hangs up the phone. "She's not happy about me avoiding her yesterday."

"I could tell."

Frowning, "well it's not like I could tell her I was busy impregnating her, now could I?"

You shake your head, "so any ideas on how to convince her to keep them?"

"Not a clue, but we should have a few weeks to think of something before she notices." She lets out a sigh, "well try and think of something. Maybe an idea will come to me while we go shopping today."

Jessica leaves with Rachel a few hours later leaving you to ponder. You think of a few ideas while she is gone. Maybe getting her drunk at a party, hooking her up with a one-night stand, perhaps even simply telling her to keep them so you two do not lose your genders, if she would believe that. Not solid ideas but it is something. The rest of the day passes uneventfully and before you know it you turn in for the night.

Turns out your lack of ideas is a non-issue the following morning when you get a call from Jessica. At least it is Jessica's number, unfortunately it is her male voice crying on the other end of the phone.

"It didn't work!" blubbers Jessie.

"What do you mean it didn't work?" answers your own female voice. Horrified you look down; your female form had returned.

Fighting back hysteria you ask, "what happened?"

"I don't know. I don't know," Jessie start speaking faster. "I have to get out of here before anyone wakes up. Be over soon." He hangs up leaving you alone with your fears.

Your hands are shaky and sweaty, your heart pounds so hard you can hear the blood rushing in your ears, and you taste bile at the back of your throat. 'What does it mean?' you ask yourself hoping to make sense of it. Even as you ask yourself, you know the answer but do not want to admit it.

You are no longer panicking when Jessie arrives but you are still shaking. He however is solemn as he holds out a package for you, "found this in her bathroom. Snuck in before sneaking out."

You read the label as he hands it over, ''Plan-B'. Your shoulders slump, suspecting something like this, "but how? Why?"

"Must have suspected something," bowing his head. "Or just overly cautious."

Holding the box, you look at it again, it did not matter how. The point was, Jessie would be a boy for the rest of his life and you were going to be a girl for the rest of yours.
