You wake up alone in bed.

You wake up the next morning alone in bed. For a moment you panic that she left you but you find her in the kitchen preparing breakfast and a packed lunch for you before you leave for work.

"About last night," you pause to think over your words. "I don't think we should do that again."

"You do not like sex with me?" Angela frowns.

"No. No. No. Believe me I love having sex with you but if we are going to see if you're pregnant or not we shouldn't be having sex even with a condom."

"You are right," she nods in agreement.

With Angela living with you, getting to know each other better, feeding you new dishes each night, and do things a couple does except have sex, you completely forget why she is with you in the first place until she asks you to go buy a home pregnancy test at the pharmacy when she misses her period.

You cannot help shake anxiously while driving to the pharmacy, buying the test kit, and the drive home. Your future will be decided on her peeing on a plastic stick. You sit in your parked car and go through all the possibilities of what could happen.

If she is pregnant, will she keep the baby? And if she does, would you do the honorable thing and be there for her and the baby? Even marry her?

What if she doesn't want to continue the pregnancy? She is still a student afterall. You shake your head not wanting to think of that...

You sigh and back walk into your apartment. "Angela?"

"In here," she yells from the bathroom. Sitting on the side of the bathtub, she smiles weakly at you when she sees the plastic bag containing the pregnancy test in your hand. You wordless hand it over to her, smile, and leave her alone to take the test.

Time slows down for you as you anxiously wait for her take the package out of the bag, read the instructions, pee on the test stick, and then wait for the results.
