You figure that turning up the stove heat should distract her.

You sneak up to the stove while the elemental is busy stoking the oven's flames. Dozens of sauces are churning on the stove in deep pots; you aren't quite sure how to operate the stove, but it shouldn't be hard to make one or two boil over. You adjust some of the valves controlling air flow underneath a few of the pots, and the flames flare up readily in response - pretty soon the shallower pots of sauce begin bubbling and shuddering noticeably. Perfect!

Just as you are about to return to your hiding spot, a large bubble swells up in one of the deeper pots and bursts! A heavy dollop of chocolatey goo splatters over your arm and shoulder before you can pull away. Instinctively you try wiping it off with your other hand, but that only gets your hand all messy too. The chocolate thickens on your skin and begins throbbing with warmth.

You need to get to safety and clean this stuff off before it really starts burning you! You barely manage to retreat back around the corner before the elemental returns to the stove. Looking back at your arm, you notice that the sauce's temperature has already cooled to a slight warmth. While the danger of being burned has abated, you realize the goo isn't just throbbing with heat - it's spreading as well!
