You enter the next room.

In as you enter the next room you notice a few gargoyles along with a few bird types laying their eggs. The bird types seem to have no trouble but the gargoyles seem to be taking a while. The gargoyles also have a number of other gargoyles holding them to help them bear down on the egg.

You turn to Lily and ask " The eggs, they seem soft and long instead of large and round."

Lily nods and says " The egg will settle after it drys off and hardens, it will be about twice the size of an average baby human. So about 40 inches, and chances are in the second half of development the child will stop shifting it's form til it is ready to be removed at which point you know the rest. The egg shell, gets bigger more or less around, to make room for the growth. In the end the gargoyle will even have about 3 to 5 inches free space on average when removed. Thou when I was removed, I had taken up the whole egg." She has a bit of a smile on her face as she says it.

You look at her a second, and your unsure how the soft egg expands after it is removed from the Gargoyle herself, but you realize it has to do something to allow the child once its matured in the egg to be about 1 or 2 years old the egg has to get bigger. So it makes sense, thou you don't understand how genetic design by scientist or otherwise some how managed to make it work.

You walk over to a gargoyle who is pushing out the at least one of her eggs, she looks up and sees you and smiles. You realize even in child birth or egg laying these females are always happy. This strikes you a little funny, but at the same time you realize they are protective. So you wonder why they are not protective of the ones laying the eggs right now and preventing you from getting so close.

Lily looks at her and nods and looks at the eggs and says " The color of the egg much like are skin or fur can very, some of the gargoyles may lay eggs that are always the same color others might lay eggs that look different between each one."

You notice the egg is about 35 inches long, and not every wide and its soft. But you figure like a chicken egg it mostly is laid soft like Lily says and it gets harder and finishes relaxing into shape. The gargoyle who just finished laying eggs is looking at you with a mix of feelings on her face. Your not sure what your suppose to do, but she looks like she could use some support. You walk over to her and take the place of the gargoyle holding her on the right. She moves out of the way and the other gargoyle on the left realizes your big enough to hold her up on your own.

You look down at her and say " Lily here is showing me around, and I figure for me to connect to this shop it might help for me to do what some of you even do."

The gargoyle with big round eyes are fixed on you she seems tired, you ask " Can you walk? if not I will see to it I carry you."

The gargoyle is not sure what to say, having not expected a male let alone a large male like yourself to enter the room and offer to aid her. She knows staff from the shop come and go as they like but she never heard of a staff member as big as you. She looks at your arm that is around her, she looks down and sees her tail flicking around. And realizes she is exposed.

You glance down and notice the same, and say " Lily can you go get something to help clean her up? she seems worried about it. Put her loin cloth back on?"

Lily nods and goes and gets something and comes back, and starts to dab at her a bit til she is clean, Lily also takes some kind of ointment or cream and rubs it into and long the gargoyles vaginal opening. You feel the gargoyle claw at your back a bit, your pretty sure she is pain but you figure Lily is doing whats best for her. After a short moment Lily stops and puts on her loin cloth and smiles at the gargoyle.

The gargoyle looks at her and says " You have a name."

Lily nods and says " Alex gave it to me."

The gargoyle who's eye is right next to your name tag sees it and says " So you gave her a name? But she is not adopted."

You nod and say " She is to help the elder, I picked her because the elder picked her to help me. I gave her a name because she needed one."

The gargoyle nods and says " Lily is a good name." with a half smile and then says " can you please bring me to my room?"

You nod and wrap your arm around her back not to press on her wings, and with help from Lily you get her legs into your other arm and say " No problem."

The gargoyle in your arms lets out a small moan you think, and she says " you can lift me without a problem, you are surely a handsome one."

You nod and say " At least your not looking at me like I am a piece of meat."

The gargoyle laughs and says " I just stretched lady parts to high heaven, and I am not going to be feeling well for the next 10 or 11 hours because of it. When I finally shift It will get back to normal and I will feel better."

You smirk and Lily seems upset that this gargoyle is talking to you so openly, you just shrug and say " Lily, I named you. I did not name this one don't get upset, I am sure this just makes her feel better to have me here right now. Considering I am the only one able to carry her to her room. In the entire compound in less you count other large female Animorphs."

Lily nods and says " Silly me." you look at her a second and she seems withdrawn.

You then lean over and rub your face against her shoulder as best as you can well you hold the gargoyle in your arms. The one in your arms is more of a bird type, she is not a bird thou. Her wings are angel like, but her body is almost human. Biggest difference is her skin tone is gray and she has horns, with angle wings.

Lily then thinks for a moment and you say " Lily, you had been picked by your elder to mate with me. Because your a wolf gargoyle, and your wings are the type I would like to have mostly. I am normally shifted into a wolf, and maybe once we get this one here, in my arms back to her room. I can shift so both of you can see what I look like as an Animorph. I tend to get a much stronger response from the Animorphs when I look like one of them."

Lily lets out a pour almost from her throat, you smile and the gargoyle your holding has her head on your shoulder. Lily says " I know the place this one sleeps in, I will lead the way."

You just nod and say " I can hold her as long as she wants me to, so long as it makes her feel better."

The gargoyle in your arms smiles faintly, as she drifts off to sleep more or less in your arms. Before long Lily has brought you to her room, she opens the door and you bring the one in your arms to her bed and lay her down. On her stomach, so that she does not roll onto her wings. She seems happy, so you kiss her on the cheek before you stand up and leave.

Lily is all excited she will get to see you shift, but you just want to find somewhere not so filled with a slumbering gargoyle or others to see it happen. You turn to her and say " I need somewhere private and not back to your room if you mind."

Lily thinks for a moment and says " We might find privacy at this time at the dock, most are either working or sleeping at this hour strangely for one reason or another." You nod as you take her hand and she leads you down to the park with the dock at the bottom of the habitat and at the end of the mock block with in it.
