You decided not to change into a swimsuit.

"Stop being a spoilsport," Carrie was complaining. She didn't like that I was staying in my clothes.

"I'm not being a spoilsport," I retorted. "We can have just as much fun," the word 'fun' left a sour taste in my mouth, "with me not wearing a swimsuit."

"No!" Carrie insisted. "You can't get clothes wet. That's why swimsuits exist!"

"I'll take my chances," I said. "Shall we go on the log ride?"

"We want to go in the pool!" Jimmy insisted.

"Yeah," Cody agreed. "Let's go on the slide!" It looked like we knew where Alicia was going. Her aunt had insisted that she keep an eye on and take care of Jimmy and Cody. She was quite unhappy about it.
