What's next?
You decide to make a break with Randall
It took you the better part of the afternoon to get through the myriad of questions, conversations (mostly one-sided, coming from her, that is) and the endless half-promises that you would try to get yourself together. It hurt, you admitted to yourself later on that evening when you were speaking with Jennifer, that your parents had heard all of what transpired from Randall (Ms. Card, you corrected yourself, figuring that one set of issues was enough trouble without adding on having to deal with potentially breaking the NDA). Rationally speaking, you probably could have put it down as a sense of trying to provide help and get your parents to comfort and console you. That is, of course, if you weren't already seething with a burning sense of betrayal and that sense made you view Randall's actions as a violation of the bro-code, man-law, whatever you wanted to call it. It was looking less like "Bros before Hoes" and more like "keeping you a Beta". Jennifer cracked that it seemed Ms. Card was trying to keep you a simp for Allison, maybe trying to in some way justify Allison's actions to cuckold you. If it didn't sound just like a youtube video channel on MGTOW you binged earlier in the afternoon, you would've been more or less dismissive. Now, though, you weren't so sure that Jennifer didn't read it just correctly.
"Look, it just wasn't meant to be," you replied to your mom's entreaties over Allison. Your father, bless his heart, had somehow picked up on the unspoken issue of her cheating on you and had managed to corral your mother, who had predictably sided with her instead and was about to lay in on you to apologize and make up for whatever you had done. He had managed to tell you that they would be available if you wanted to talk later before he marched your mom out of your room and down the stairs, allowing you to hear them talking about how she had been the closest thing to another daughter and how it was a shame things had progressed for you. Your dad merely stated that you had lost two friends, Allison and Randall, so it was only expected you would not be in the mood to talk. He also slipped that Randall had crossed a line for you, being a teenage boy, so the fact you didn't want to talk with him was more than understandable.
Your dad. The G.O.A.T. in the family.
Through the afternoon, you had checked your phone a few times, seeing a message from Allison (promptly deleted) and then two more from Randall, both times you had toyed with the idea of reading it but then just feeling the level of disgust, you deleted it as well. It had been a surprise to your mom later on, when she called you for dinner, seeing you studying but your dad just told her to leave it be. Tabitha, being in the same school as you were, had heard the rumor mill going around and was remarkably sympathetic to you, saying some things about your former friend that triggered your mom looking at her with exasperated eyes.(You gave her an under-the-table fist bump).
With your homework done and packed, you slipped out of your house after telling your parents you were going for a slight drive and found yourself at the park where you rested your head on Jennifer's lap. It had been a rather lengthy talk but it felt nice to speak with someone, anyone, especially after the type of day you had. Plus, and this was a bonus in any measure of the word, it felt nice to have her brush your head gently and let you just vent. Trying to avoid a lawsuit by disclosing Randall's predicament, you were still able to mention how you didn't want to see Ms. Card, having Government 4 times a week. Jennifer, after listening for a bit, suggested that you transfer to the AP US class, it was easy and early enough that you could, in theory, switch with only a week's worth of catching up to do. You had the credits and, despite your parents' protestations to the contrary, your grades were high enough to get you into the class.
The selling point? It would get you away from Randall...

The Ultimate Transplant
Someone you know is given a new body & life
PLEASE ADD CHAPTERS! A close friend or family member is horribly injured in an accident. As they lay dying in the emergency room, another patient dies of a brain aneurysm. Both of them are organ donors, so a surgeon decides it's the perfect opportunity for him to try an experimental surgery. He transplants the victim's higher brain (the cerebellum) to the donor's body in an attempt to 'save' a life. Amazingly it works. But the surgery was not approved so the hospital convinces the families to keep quiet, arguing that revealing this operation to the public would bring never-ending media attention to all involved. That means that the patient will have to publicly assume the identity of the donor. What will this mean to your friends and family? Who else will you tell? Although you will spend a lot of time and effort giving support, how will all this alter your relationship to the patient? And how will he or she adapt to a complete change of body and identity? Many transformation stories focus on the change or victim, so I thought it would be interesting to instead have the POV be someone who sees the change from the outside. Writers feel free to explore a change in age, gender, class or ethnicity - and the repercussions that change would have on the main character (and others).
