Chapter 18 by reaper13
Where are you taking her?
You bring her to a fancy room
As you take Doe for a walk, you make certain to have her walk ahead front of you. If she tries to escape, you want to at least see it happening. Not that she would be able to do much even if she succeeded in knocking out ****. The chain attached to her collar, a chain wrapped twice around your waist because it’s so long, would **** her to drag your body with her. No, she can’t find the key on your person. You left it at the warden in charge of your cells.
As you exit the detention cells you and Doe enter the estate. You order Doe to first take a right, then a left. Some of your servants stare at Doe when they see the both of you. They must have expected you to keep your prisoner in her cell where, according to most people, is where prisoners belong. They just don’t understand your strategy. Or perhaps it is her scent. You can smell her the whole time you are walking her too.
Eventually you order Doe to enter a room. Inside she finds the room is quite fancy. It’s a small room, but it has a bed, decorated walls, furniture, even a vanity with a mirror and a few combs.
“Why did you bring me here?” Doe asks.
“I’ve been preparing this room for a couple of days to transfer you here. This way at least you’ll be out of that cell.” You say.
Doe looks around the room. Then says, “I see you’ve barred the rooms.”
“You’re still a prisoner.” You remark as you untangle the chain from your waist. “Can’t have you breaking out on me.”
You then walk over to the center of the room. Yesterday you had a metal plate with a ring welded to it installed there. You bring your end of the chain to the ring at the center of the floor, then use a metal lock to secure the two together.
“Your chain is long enough to allow you to get everywhere you need to go. Long enough for you to get into that.” You inform her and point at a metal tub.
Doe looks over and asks, “A tub?”
“Back when I left you alone in your cell for a minute, I ordered some servants to fill it up with water as well as light a small fire underneath.” You tell your prisoner.
Doe looks under the tub and sees some smoldering ashes. The fire is about to go out so the water in the tub won’t be heating up any more. She then walks over and dips her fingers in the bathwater.
“It’s warm.” She says. “I usually take my bath’s in cold water.”
“I know.” You say. “Bringing fire on board a wooden ship is not exactly a smart thing to do. Best to minimize any fires to only what is needed. But here on land, I try to take as many hot baths as I can. Go on, try it.”
Doe then looks at you and asks. “What about you? Are you going to watch me bathe?”
You say nothing and reach into your pocket to bring out two dice. You roll them towards Doe and they land on 5.
Doe understands and throws the dice back at you.
