Game ignores your desire to leave the village and interprets your actions and new equipment in a different way. It assumes that you are a guard now. Sadly, you got no new skills or abilities but level is a level and your stats got a nice boost. Somehow you are also having a job but salary is laughable. Also you learn that your village isn't simply "a village" and has a proper name.
