You are a Tamaranean. An unconventional one.

So then, you’re from the same planet as Starfire. Similar powers, right?

But as it turns out, you are not a normal Tamaranean. Not anymore at least. Not since the Gordanians.

As it turns out, Starfire was not the only one of her people to have been enslaved by the race of lizard men. A dozen others or so, including you, were taken by them. While Starfire, with royal blood in her veins, would be “spared” as a favored pet to Trogaar, the rest of the captive Tamaraneans were used in various experiments.

Many experiments leaned towards understanding your people’s natural abilities in the hopes of replicating those feats in other races (namely the Gordanians) while others were just done for cruel and twisted measures earned from causing the maximum amount of pain possible without killing the subject. The bastards even made a game out of it! The “winner” would be given a few more minutes of rest before the next round of ****/experimentation while the “loser”, if they were still alive, was cruel beaten and broken even further. And if they had died or “expired” before the Gordanian administering the punishment was satisfied, then another would be punished in their place.

Princess Koriand’r…that is, Starfire… Wasn’t on the same ship as the rest of her captured people, so when she broke free of her prison and the other Titans formed to defeat Lord Trogaar and his legion of Gordanians, you and your fellow prisoners were still being tortured and experimented on. When Trogaar returned, his rage made the other experiments seem kind in comparison.

It took days for him to wear out on dealing punishment, and you were the only survivor. You never hated anyone as much as you did Trogaar and his kind. Ironically, that murderous rage, which went against everything the Tamaranean people lived by, proved the key to your freedom.

Because that desire to spill Trogaar’s lifeblood triggered new abilities granted from all the experiments done to you.
