You sniffle softly as tears gather in your eyes. "B-before you kill me, or whatever it is that you plan to do with me, please let me say goodbye to my mother."
He looks taken aback. "I'm not going to kill you." He takes a step forward and looks at you with pity in his eyes. "Unfortunately for you, I am going to take you to the tower."
"The tower?" You question in a small voice.
"Yes, if your mother is nearby you may say farewell."
"She should be in the town square... she's not a mage like I am!"
He nods. "I believe you. Now come along little one." He moves to your side and gestures for you to lead.
