"Oh, um..." you start, unsure how to put it. You didn't have many friends in high school, and you don't want to just have a short conversation that she'll remember has helping a first year to the dorm. "Could we like... hang out a little longer?"

She looks a little surprised, but smiles. "I know just the place." She stands up, and you follow her out of the the dining hall. She notices you walking a pace behind her. "Come on, don't be shy." she puts her arm around your waist.

As you walk down the hall, the girl who had been across the table from you before, and making fun of James, steps out from a side corridor. "Now now, Handsy, what are you doing with that cute blonde?"

James's hand moves up from your waist, and she places it against your head, the light pressure causing you to lean it against her. You close your eyes and smile at the soft feeling on your cheek. Wait, is that her chest? The thought causes you to become a little more awake.

You hear the pair talking about something in slightly heated voices, but it's overshadowed by the comfortable beat in your ears. You only catch a few words. The girl calls James a lesbian. James says something about appreciating beauty, and you think that she's right, what's wrong with liking the look, or feel of a woman's body? You're sort of doing that with James right now, actually...

James starts walking again, and you follow, as if you are glued to her hand. Eventually, it moves back to your hips, and your thoughts clear a little. Your hand is on her waist as well, and you aren't sure when you did that. She looks kind of bothered though, maybe something the other girl said got to her.
