Being that Kelly has not been in the country music genre for that long, you are able to get to meet her pretty easily, as not too many people are around.

You do notice, though, that Reba is here, and that annoys you greatly as you start to stare at Kelly in her tight jeans and tight shirt, since Reba also happens to be Kelly's mother-in-law, which means her husband is probably here, too.

But instead of getting into the meet & greet line, you happen to overhear the three of them having a conversation that seems to insinuate that Kelly's husband either can't, or won't, be her date for an industry function later that night.

Later, in the meet & greet line, you decide to act as though you saw or heard nothing when you meet her.

"Have I seen you somewhere before?" she asks you as she asks you your name, giving you your autograph and then remembering that she had seen you during the "discussion" earlier.

"Kelly...I-" you start to explain, but she excuses herself from the table for a few minutes and pulls you aside to allay your fears.

"It's cool John," she tells me, "you think I didn't see you there? But...if you're really interested in getting some alone time with me, why don't you be my date for the party he has decided not to attend?"
