The room was empty, but the fire had been lit, making it a comfortable place to kill time. She set her book on one of the couches and got some wine from the table in the center of the room.

With drink and book, she settled in to study the hymnal. The song book got her attention quickly. There were so many songs that she had never seen or heard of before. A quick flip to the front of the book showed that its former owner had been the Voice before Sister Nightingale took over. The songbook somehow had not been introduced into the church. Winlay thought she would have to try and fix that latter.

Winlay took a drink from her wine and found herself feeling a little sleepy. Between the fire's heat and the wine, she was becoming more and more relaxed and the stress of the last few days seemed to fall away. She set her drink down and tried to focus on the book, but soon she fell asleep.
