Chapter 14 by wit1
Does the distraction work?
Yes the distraction works
“PAT!” Steve called out. Your eyes automatically shifted at the sound of your name. No longer looking at Bill’s big cock, you were no longer so enamored by the sight that you were totally unaware of your surroundings. You had made it more than halfway from the ladder to where Bill stood.
“Behind you!” Steve continued. You whirled. You had left a considerable gap between yourself and the ladder. Cindy didn’t hesitate to take advantage of the situation. She was headed towards the ladder. Unfortunately, Bill had moved as well. He was once again in your field of vision. His cock was still hanging out for you to see. You paused to gawk at it once more. It was only a momentary distraction, but it gave Cindy a chance to reach the ladder.
“SHIT!” you called out as the blonde scrambled up the metal rungs. You started up after her. You had a clear view up her short skirt. She wasn’t wearing any panties. A moment later, you felt the ladder shudder. You looked down. Bill had zipped up and was climbing up after you. Steve had rushed into the Library. He was trying to put on his backpack as he ran across the terrace. Steve reached the bottom of the ladder just as you reached the top. Cindy was nowhere in sight.
The roof of the Library was flat and covered with smooth rocks. Those rocks ranged from the size of a marble to the size of an orange. They also meant that there was nowhere for Cindy to hide. There was a single hatch on the roof. That meant there was a single place that Cindy could have gone. The hatch was heavy, but you had no other problems opening it. A handle on the hatch gave you a chance to drop safely down into the corridor underneath.
It also brought the hatch down behind you. That left you in the dark, at least until your eyes adjusted to the dim light. You were in a service corridor used to maintain the equipment that was used in the Library; heaters, AC, lights, etc. That equipment made the crawlspace cramped, but still passable. With a wall blocking the corridor a couple feet to your left, there is only one direction that Cindy could have gone.
Naturally you followed the only path available. Bill and Steve weren’t far behind you. It wasn’t long before you came to a ladder leading down. You paused a moment. Cindy either went down the ladder or continued around on the catwalk. It didn’t take you long realize that the most likely Cindy had gone down the ladder. The vent you used to enter had been the only opening onto the roof. Any other opening the catwalk had would have entered the Library which was out of bounds. Cindy had taken great care to avoid going out of bounds so far, you doubted that she would have cheated now that you could catch her at it.
You climbed down. Another crawlspace circled that level of the Library. Like the previous crawlspace, it was stuffed with equipment. Choosing a direction at random, you worked your way through the clutter. Halfway around was another ladder leading downward. This time you didn’t hesitate, especially since you were sure that you heard Cindy’s voice coming from below you. You practically slid down the ladder.
Three more times you circled halfway around the library. Three more times you descended the ladder that was there. You found yourself in a long dark corridor. Large pipes on both sides of the corridor. They led off in both directions. You were below the Library and in the steam tunnels. The pipes carried heat and water from the power plant to the various buildings around campus.
Bill landed on the floor next to you. Moments later Steve landed on top of Bill. The two of them fell to the floor. Bill let out a soft grunt. It was drown out by a loud clang as the two of them knocked over a cart full of small pipes. Even as those echoes died down, there was another crash from your left. It was followed by the sound of feet running. It could only be Cindy. If Cindy could get to one of exits that led out to one of the other buildings, she would have a lot of options. In that case, there was a good chance you would lose her trail. If you lost her trail, it was unlikely you would be able to find her again, at least before time ran out.
You immediately took off after Cindy.
Do you catch Cindy before she can get out of the steam tunnels?
