Chapter 15
by SchlockTheMonkey
Does Margaret have a theory yet about the ring's power?
Yes: The subject has to be wearing blue.
Margaret thought -- what did Doris and that cop have in common, something that didn't apply to Mindy or that waitress or Mrs. Callahan? She thought back to the... being's... questions. "What is your favorite color?" it had asked.
"Blue," Margaret said, grinning. The police wore blue uniforms, Doris had on blue jeans. None of the others did. It was like the Green Lantern's weakness against yellow, but in reverse!
"Wha'?" asked Doris.
"Don't worry about it," Margaret told her. "I'll fix things up between you two. In the mean time, why don't you come into the back room with me? Nothing cheers you up like hot girl on girl action."
Doris was **** at first, but a quick dose of the ring's power convinced her that open relationships were better, and that she and Mindy could -- no, SHOULD -- both sleep around.
Margaret felt a little bit guilty about what she was doing, but considering that we was about to keep this girl's whole life from falling apart, it didn't seem like an unreasonable price to ask. Besides, the girls would be much happier (and much better) people when Margaret was done with them. As long as she was making the world a better place she was karmically ahead of the game.
Right?
