Xander: The Source

"You know what I wish?" Cordelia ranted to the new girl. "It's about Xander."

"Yes, how do you want him to suffer?" Anya asked eagerly.

"I wish he actually got what he wanted."

Anya paused, that wasn't what she expected, "What do you mean?"

"He always wants to be important. He wants to take care of Buffy. He wants to take care of Willow. He wants to fight vampires," Cordelia said forgetting who she was talking to. "Basically, he wishes that he was the center of everything. That everyone was dependent on him. Oh, how I wish I could see him crack under the pressure of actually having some responsibility and power. "

"Granted!" Anyaka said her her face shifted into her demonic visage. This was going to be fun.

Into every generation a source is born: one man in all the world, a chosen one. He alone will wield the strength and foresight to empower the Slayers, Witches, and the forces of Light; to further the spread of their good and the swell of their number. He is the Source.

This story idea follows the season 3 episode the Wish, but Cordelia asks for something very different than Buffy never having showed up. I'm more planning on writing this as a story with user input than a Choose Your Own Adventure, but people are encouraged to add on their own threads if they would like.
