“Joseph...” Faith spoke and looking up spoke, “The Lord warned me about this, he said we would be tested and Faith you failed your test and now the world must burn!” and in the moment the rockets fell causing an explosion from a while away, “The great collapse!” Joseph laughed watching it, “We need to get out of here!” I growled Mary nodded pulling Faith to the car, “This wasn’t the time Joseph, you said!” “The end waits for no man!” Joseph assured him and nodding he watched with his “Father” I jumped in and speeding off heard, “Grace’s bunker it’s the nearest one!” I shook my head before saying, “No! It doesn’t have enough supplies. Dutch’s one” I put my seatbelt on before putting it into gear sped off knocking over Peggies who also ran in the confusion, “Ash! Ash!” “What Rachel? What?” she pointed to behind me and seeing Jacob run from the blast I sighed, “He did stick up for us didn’t he?” she nodded before reversing snapped, “Get in!” “What?” “We had a very quick discussion and Rachel said we should stop for you! As sins forgiven when the world collapses!”

He nodded getting in before speeding off again he snapped, “Fucking knew it...Damn religious shit. I knew this was coming but Joseph physically doing it? I thought the politicians!” Faith interrupted by saying, “He was told by the lord!” “Jacob we actually agree on that point. I have a question if you don’t mind me asking... Did you ever think that there is medical reason for ‘these voices’ in his head?” I queried “Yes but none of us are 100% rational. The difference is my point will be proved the strong will either survive the end or the world will fall!” Jacob responded, I turned the radio on desperately trying to get any news but it was silent apart for Eden’s Gate music and dodging the fallen trees before turning up the hill pulled the handbrake on, “Come on! Anything supplies we can use get it now!” Mary carried the cans up from the back with and Jacob picking the canned foods up slammed the hatch shut.

A few days later...

“Come in Ash this is Eli!” “Ash here...How are things in the North?” “Worse the chemicals in the North has caused it to be a lot more hazardous here but we should be okay, do you have enough resources?” “We agreed that food needs to be rationed slightly but we should be fine here!” “Jess is safe in a bunker in the North. What’s the situation down your place?” “Grace made it to a shelter with Nick and Kim Rye, Jerome the same. The others are unknown, John Seed died taking Joseph to his bunker. Jacob is here with me and Rachel!” “You should put a bullet in his head!” “End of world, new leaf. He also can help us in the new world!” “I guess so...stay safe Ash. We will keep we contact you later!” I switched the radio off and looking out at one of the few remaining functioning cameras spoke, “They think nuclear war but I think the countries are burning themselves out, Good news is: what Joseph theorised maybe right. A remote town like this won’t be effected as bad as the big cities!” Jacob nodded trimming his beard, “We have enough food if we have only two meals a day. Six years he said?” “Five, but six to be sure! Meaning we could go out and hunt at 5!” “So now what?” “We wait!” Jacob spoke before sitting down spoke, “We should plan for when we do get out...” “I hope you don’t mean us building an new Joseph Statue!” Mary joked and shaking his head spoke, “No, but supplies. Where do we set up home, what will we need etc.” I nodded before saying, “Agreed! I hope we have paper!”

Six years later:

“Come on old man!” Elise chanted running off before being chased after by Jacob was caught, “Almost had me!” he spoke lifting her onto his shoulders, “How far is this place?” “Where the Seed Ranch used to be!” Mary pointed out and walking past the rubble, “That was Nick’s and Kim’s airstrip. So follow the road and it should come into view!” Rachel took my arm before saying, “Now Elise when we get there it’s important you behave!” “I will mummy! I promise...Auntie Mary will make sure of it!” I nodded walking again past the scorched trees to see the walled area with the sign, “Welcome to Prosperity!” “Not much!” Mary commented which caused Faith to say, “What did you expect a pool? It will grow as more people come!” she nodded banging on the gates, “Kim? Nick? Grace? It’s me Mary-May!” Kim looked over before smiling spoke, “Mary? Rook? I can’t believe my eyes! Let them in, let them in!” the gates opened and walking in there were saw the small huts, inside there was the modified house which now was being used as a house, hospital, lab and HQ. There wasn’t a garage and a small tree house that looked like it was going to be for some sort of Intel room. As we took another step forward we we’re met by an hug from Grace and Kim before a handshake from Nick who in disbelief couldn’t believe it, “I didn’t think you would make it... We saw you head to Dutch’s bunker but that was so far away!” I nodded before commenting, “We actually made it with fifteen minutes to spare which was surprising we were able to kill two deers who were running past and drag their bodies back for extra supplies!” “Yes we literally took everything left and took it down with us, even the baby stuff. I couldn’t believe our daughter was born underground. At least she is free now. Aren’t you Carmina?” Kim stated and looking at the young girl sitting down bored I nodded before picking Elise up whispered, “Go and play with her!” she nodded running off and smiling Rachel spoke, “That will keep her out of mischief!” “You mean cause more!” Nick laughed before studying her grabbed his spanner, “Kim behind me!” “Why?” “Kim that’s Faith Seed!” I pushed he behind me before saying, “She is also my wife, Nick put the spanner down. We aren’t here to hurt you or cause any trouble just to live here and help Prosperity prosper!” he glared at me before saying, “then what? like before?” she shook her head before saying, “And risk my daughters life? You may think I am evil but stupid? I have responsibilities and a man who loves me. I can help create sedatives, pain reliefs and know plants and chemicals... I am here to help!” Nick looked at Carmina happily running around before nodding spoke, “Hell Kim... as people have said, new world new beginnings. I suppose that applies to you Jacob?” Jacob nodded before saying, “I will train people to protect you... not what I trained people to do in the North but train people the basics to protect the camp because like Ash was saying on the way here; outsiders will come and will want supplies and weapons this will be a hotspot!” Kim shook her head before saying, “Fine! One chance but anything Peggie no matter how small and all of you are gone!” I nodded before undoing my jacket spoke, “How about you give us the run down and we’ll see how we can help!” “You can help by going out and looking for survivors!” Kim spoke and shaking his head Jacob spoke, “Do you have enough food to maintain new people?” “I don’t think so but more people means we can hunt!” “We should hunt first then find people you care for the people you have first then the people you can find after!” she nodded before smiling lightly at Jacob despite not wanting to admit it spoke, “Fine, you two get some food...”
