Chapter 9

Good job Casanova, where do you take them?
Wherever they want to go, and I mean wherever.
As you leave the place you realize you have literally no idea where to take them. They must be sick of **** and bad music, considering where they work, and it’s way too late to take them for dinner, unless you plan to take them to one of those places, which you aren't.
There are many options, of course, but the usual safe choices aren’t really on the table. For a moment, you think about picking their brains for ideas -literally-, before realizing you can just pick their brains for ideas -figuratively-. So you do.
“I’m assuming you won’t be too fond of spending more time in nightclubs, so…” Subtle now, don’t just announce you have no idea what you're doing… “Where can a poor guy like me take two goddesses like you to impress them?” ...Nailed it.
“Actually, nightclubs aren’t all that bad, when we can be clients for once.” Answers Melanie, looking surprised you even bothered to ask. Then her expression turns mischievous. “But since you’re offering to impress… Are you sure you’re up to our standards, stud?”
“Oho? That sounds like a challenge.” The atmosphere from before Yang interrupted hasn’t returned just yet, but if Melanie is in the mood for some playful banter, you’ll happily oblige.
“We have very particular tastes, stud.” She waves a hand dismissively. “No offence, but you have no chance.”
You are about to make a cocky retort when Miltia presses her breasts against your arm. Was that on purpose? Yes, that was very much in purpose. Looks like the shy twin doesn’t exactly regret what happened back in the club and wants more. It still leaves you a bit out of balance though.
“Want to bet on that?” You answer lamely. What can you do? The feeling against your arm is utterly distracting...
“Why not?” After making a big show of thinking about it, she smiles sweetly. “If you win, we’ll give you a night you’ll never forget. But if you lose...” Melanie’s smile turns predatory. “You’ll pay our next shopping spree, and carry our bags” That was a tad too fast not to be rehearsed. A quick peek confirms your suspicions, they’ve done this before. Conning poor fools into paying for them, that is.
Aware of what an entire evening with two women shopping for clothes can entrail, you can’t help a shiver down your spine. Okay, that’s serious business. No turning back now, whatever they ask for, you’ll grant, even if you have to create the damned place out of nowhere yourself. No way in hell you’re going through that.
“Sure.” You answer with more confidence than you’re feeling. “Give it your worst.”
“Your funeral stud. Let’s see, I’d like someplace…” She smirks. “Outdoors, we never get as much fresh air as we’d like.” The little schemer… There won’t be that many places like that at this time of the night.
“And quiet.” Miltia chips in from your other side.
“And want to drink something refined for once, not the shit they serve everywhere nowadays.”
“In a jacuzzi.” That last condition seems to surprise Melanie, but she doesn’t complain. Probably thinking it only nails your coffin.
A place like that simply doesn’t exist in Vale. You would know, you’re omniscient after all. Melanie is smiling like the cat who got the canary, ate it with cream and framed the dog for it. Incidentally, you’ve just decided what will be your official semblance. Because a place like that does actually exist… in Mistral.
“So… if I take you girls to an outdoors and quiet place where you can drink fine drinks in a jacuzzi you’ll give me a night I’ll never forget?”
“Not so easily, stud.” That’s some impressive backtracking she does there once she notices how confident you sound. Melanie has good instincts. Then again, her sister seems barely capable of holding herself from jumping your bones right there, so you're not that worried. “We’ll give you a chance. You’ll still have to work for it.”
“Sounds fair, you have a deal, my ladies.”
Then, withouting pause or explanation, you make the world twist around the three of you. Next thing anybody knows you’re at the gates of a place called ‘A Piece of Heaven’. Tacky, I know, but you could say it performs as advertised.
“Where…” Melanie immediately jumps away from you, getting on guard. Even Miltia releases you to look around warily. “What the hell did just happen?”
“Welcome to Mistral, dear ladies,” You put on your best charming smile and take a couple of steps forward, arms open wide, before turning around to look at their faces. “And to the place where you will show me a night I’ll never forget!”
As expected, they’re in quite a loss for words. Miltia is the first one to put the pieces together though. “Your semblance.” Well, the obvious pieces together. It’s not like ‘you’re God’ is going to go through their minds anytime soon.
“Pinpoint long distance teleportation with passengers…” Melanie lets out a long whistle. “That’s an awfully practical one stud. You sure you should be using it just to pick up girls?”
“I regret nothing.” Then, offering your arms back, you gesture towards the entrance with your head. “Now, what about the bet? Want to come inside and check that everything is in order?”
Entering the place, you wave at the receptionist, who is mysteriously -*cough* omnipotence *cough*- convinced you’re a regular and have a reservation for the rooftop terrace, so she nods back at you. All the way from the front door, though the reception room and into the elevator, the twins keep quiet. You’d be a bit worried they’re angry if you couldn’t feel all the wonder and curiosity they’re emanating.
The silence is finally broken with twin gasps when the elevator doors open again, showing and impressive view of the cliffs under the moonlight and, a bit closer, a luxurious liquor cabinet, what you could only call a king-size lounger and, most important, an impressive jacuzzi pool.
“Well?” Maybe your smile is a bit shit-eating right now, you kind of earned it, though. “Does it meet your expectations?”
“Wow stud, this is…” Melanie seems at a loss for words for a moment, before eyeing you under a new light “You know we didn’t really expect you to manage, do you?”
“Aww… does it mean I don’t get an unforgivable night?” Miltia presses herself against your arm again. Which does all kind of marvelous things to your mood. Not that you’re all that worried though. Melanie seems a bit lost, but…
“Oh, no. We keep our word, you’ll never forget tonight. Just a little problem though.” She smiles mischievously. “No swimsuits, no jacuzzi.”
Oh, shit.
