Do you attack or do you wait?
Wait and see what happens
The party of 3 delve further into the cave,
With it being pitch black and little bit of luck you seem to evade their vision.
"Uhhg did any of you bring a torch" asks the bard.
You could hear how annoyed he was at something
The others 2 shake their head, clearly they were annoyed as well.
"Cant believe he got away from us" says the pally
Clearly they had not seen the his body yet.
"And now we are spellunking through a cave with no light" she curses
Upon closer inspection you notice that the priest is bleeding and limping.
With them at a disadvantage you think this situation could be ideal.
It might be better to attack before the parties eyes adjust to the dark
Or you could take the chance and wait because their eyes might not adjust at all.
What do you do?
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
