Viridian Forest

You forge on north, passing through a ranger station to Viridian Forrest. It's literally moths to a flame as wild and trained pokemon fall to Charmander's super effective embers. Smoochum and Horsea get some good hits in, but this is Charmander's show.

You wander through the forest, picking up useful items, pilfering fainted foes and parting bug catchers of their allowances along the way. After an hour or so, you notice it's gotten uncomfortably hot. You look around and immediately find the problem: a forest fire.

You figure you're over halfway through, so you continue towards Pewter. You bring out Horsea to hose down the path as you sprint towards safety. It doesn't take long for the fire to surge past you, leaving you in a corridor of flame. All you can hear is the burning roar, crackling with the sound of dying trees and bugs. Charmander begins glowing and evolves.

You're nearly out when a tree falls on the path. You hear a shrill scream that calls your attention to a slender blonde woman pinned under the trunk. You act before thinking, commanding Horsea to spray the tree to keep her from burning.

Your options are limited. The tree is too heavy to lift for you or any of your pokemon, and the ground is hard and packed from constant travel. The trapped blonde looks up to you with pained, pleading eyes.
