Village of the Bat-Clan

Lara arrived quickly at the Bat-Clan's village. Not only was web-swinging as fun as it looked, Lara arrived at the settlement in a fraction of her expected travel time. Lara smiled as she landed on the ground -- she was very much looking forward to showing her girlfriends in the Spider-Clan her new found ability. Her mind drifted back to Kraven. She wondered where he ran off to, what he was up to. She sensed that he wasn't anywhere near her at the moment, but she knew she'd be crossing paths with him again. Whatever, Lara thought. This wasn't the first time she'd been hunted, and she was perfectly at home playing this game. When he did strike, she would be ready.

As Lara entered the village, she was greeted by a black-haired woman pointing a crossbow at her.

"Who are you?" the woman demanded. Lara calmly put her hands up as a sign of compliance, and gestured to a pouch on her knapsack. The other woman nodded, allowing Lara to pull out the spider emblem, signifying she was was a friend of the clan.

The black-haired huntress lowered her weapon. "I'm H'le-na," she said, still cautious of the newcomer. "What's your business here?"

"My name is Lara," she began, going on to explain who she was and what she was doing in the Savage Land.

H'le-na nodded. "An outsider... that's very unusual. The rest of the clan will want to meet you."

Before long, the huntress had gathered the members of the Bat-Clan currently in the village; Barb'ra, S'li-na, and K'ait. Barb'ra and K'ait were crimson-haired beauties wearing black loincloth bikinis, the tops cut in the shape of bats. S'li-na, looked rather different; she had short black hair, and was wearing a fur-trimmed black bikini not unlike the one F'li-sha wore. This led Lara to wonder how well F'li-sha and S'li-na knew each other, which led to some very exciting images in Lara's mind. As Lara eyed the women who had gathered to meet her, she found herself very much hoping that her meeting with the Bat-Clan would end up like her encounter with the Spider-Clan. She once again wondered about the effects of the Savage Land and its women on her and her feelings, but she was completely sure of one thing: she was enjoying it immensely.

Lara once again explained who she was and what she was doing in the Savage Land, this time in greater detail.

"The Savage Land doesn't just let anyone in," Barb'ra explained. "It must consider you an extraordinary individual."

"The Spider-Clan mentioned oracles? That they may have plans for me?" Lara asked.

"It's possible. We've discussed the Oracles' portends among the allied tribes. They all expect an outsider soon. It's possible, even likely, that it's you."

"The Justice Knights will want to meet you," K'ait added. "Their village is several days away on foot and the path is treacherous, but our pilot, Z'ynda, can get you there within hours."

"And where is she?" Lara asked.

"She's currently on a hunt to tame flying creatures," K'ait explained. "Until then, you are welcome in our city. We will use this time to tell you about the Bat-Clan's oracle and how you might reach it."

"Thank you," Lara said gratefully.
