Chapter 8 by AltUAuthor AltUAuthor

Later...

The next morning

Lara shed her clothes and went to bed. She lay awake, hoping she'd encounter a similar scenario to her first night in the Spider-Village. While that didn't happen and she did eventually drift off to sleep, she wouldn't have to wait long. She awoke the next day and made her way down to the nearby spring to clean up. When she got there, she saw S'li-na sitting in a pool, enjoying the water. Lara took a moment to leer at the nude woman bathing. Lara noticed a small tattoo of a cat on S'li-na's shoulder, and remembered F'li-sha had a similar one... were they connected in some way, Lara wondered?

S'li-na noticed the other naked woman and waved her over. "Hi there."

"Hi," Lara greeted back. "I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"

"No, not at all," S'li-na answered. "Please, join me."

Lara sank into the warm water and relaxed, all her tensions leaving her body. She gazed at the waterfall nearby, fully taking in the beauty of the Savage Land and thought to herself; when it wasn't actively trying to kill her, it was possibly the most breathtaking place she'd ever seen. And, let's face it, she liked the danger.

"It really is lovely here," Lara pointed out in a effort to make conversation with the tribeswoman.

"I think so too," S'li-na replied. "Although this land is all I've ever known."

"Take my word for it," Lara answered back. "I've been all around the world. I've seen some amazing sights, and few compare to this place. Maybe none."

"It is quite dangerous, though," S'li-na pointed out.

"Heh, so I've learned," Lara agreed. "I've not felt safe outside of the villages."

"Yeah, that's why sticking with your tribe is important here," S'li-na pointed out.

"Speaking of tribes, what is the rest of the Bat-Clan like?" Lara wondered, eager to get the opinion of the tribeswoman.

S'li-na chuckled softly. "Stubborn. They're too dedicated to trying to protect other tribes and being obsessed with justice. Me, I like stealing things from old ruins or from those nomad jerks who really deserve it."

"Heh. You know, I'm pretty fond stealing from old ruins myself," Lara chuckled back.

"I think we're going to get along juuuuust fine, then," S'li-na laughed. "Anyway, the rest of the tribe can be irritating, but I really do love 'em."

Love, Lara wondered. Did she mean platonic love, or --

"Plus, the sex is amazing."

--well, that question was certainly answered quickly...

"So you know the Spider-Clan well?" Lara asked, pondering the ties between the two tribes.

"Yes, our tribes are close. Most of the tribes these days are constantly fighting with each other, but a few of us think we'd be better off as partners rather than enemies. We and the Spider-Clan are two of several allied tribes trying to, let's say, make the Savage Land whole."

"So you know F'li-sha, I take it?" Lara wondered, hoping to learn more about their possible connection.

S'li-na inched closer to Lara. "Oh, yes. F'li-sha and I are... very close. We have a lot in common -- maybe the three of us can go exploring sometime? Take a few things we like? Maybe celebrate afterwards?" She grinned wickedly, placing a hand on Lara's chest.

Lara returned the wicked grin. She knew where this was going, and she was more than happy to let it keep going. "I'd like that," Lara purred, placing her hands on the other woman's delightful looking ass. "But I think we should get better acquainted first."
