Vahajah's Rod of Power

Dew practically dived into the pile, tossing junk aside as she scrabbled for the massive source of magical energy she could detect. When she finaly found it she had to cancel her spell or risk being blinded. She raised it above her head triumphantly.

“What is it?” Myria asked.

Dew deflated, the moment spoiled. “It’s one of Vahajah’s Rods of Power, you ignorant human.”

“Doesn’t look like much,” Myria said, undeterred. “Most of these things with impressive names have, you know, gold and jewels and stuff.”

The object Dew was holding was about 18 inches long. Its centre was a shaft of dull grey metal, perfectly smooth. This shifted seamlessly into crystal for the last six inches of each end. The crystal was red, and seemed to catch the light and shine from within. It was also smooth, and rounded at the tips.

“You’ve never heard of Vahajah?” Dew asked, incredulous.

“Nope,” Myria replied.

Cecelia shook her head. “Why is it that odd shape?”

“Because it’s meant to, umm…” Dew blushed. “It’s meant to be used for… pleasuring women…”

“What?” Cecilia shrieked in shock, going even redder than the elf. Myria sniggered.

“Vahajah was an archmage, long ago, and… a pervert. She made several of the Rods, and sought out magical creatures, and used the Rods to, um…”

“Fuck them?” Myria suggested.

Dew’s blush deepened, but she nodded. “The Rods absorbed some of their magic, and each Rod was used so many times that they’re all very potent. Vahajah **** or seduced all sorts of creatures – other mages, nymphs, sirens, dragons, even a goddess according to rumour. So there’s no way to know what powers any individual Rod has.”

“Why would the Toads toss something like in a junk pile?” Myria asked.

“Because they can’t use it,” Dew explained. “It can only be wielded by a woman.”

“So we can use it? Great.”

“Umm… maybe. But it has to be activated. With, um, female sexual passion. Either the wielder’s, or someone else’s.”

Cecilia looked like she was going to faint, or explode. Clearly the innocent paladin had never conceived of such a device.
