Unseen: Part One
"What a prick..." Morrigan spat, literally... dark red phlegm shooting into the eyeholes of the mask covered wall that The Redhead lent against. Fawkes rolled his eyes, tapping the head of his cane with disapproval as they watched the scene from within Lady Fall's rippling flesh bubble
"You just can't help ya'self can ya Girlie?" Fawkes said in his slick tone, his face wide with his shark-like grin as Lady Fall stirred, silent as ever beside him, "Lady Fall's little space distortion may be strong but if Ya keep spitting then our cover may be blown." He continued, the smile never leaving his dark lips and copper coloured face as Lady Fall stood, her expressionless, milky pale face remained cold in concentration.
Morrigan's Silver eyes widened with bloodlust, her twisted beauty pointed at him like a loaded 38' as Fawkes looked back without a shred of intimidation "I swear to the blood god, I'd spit ten thousand times to carve that shitty smile off your cunt-face." Morrigan hissed. The Irishwoman clearly didn't like him, that much was clear from the moment they met, unlike Fawkes himself and Lady Fall, Lady Morrigan was a butcher, roaming around in the Irish countryside without a care in the world with her army of meathead Blooded, it was a wonder that the Human's hadn't discovered her yet.
Fawkes sighed, but clicked his tongue and wagged his taloned finger at the woman, his hand full of golden rings gleaming as He did "Ah but Lady Morrigan, how would your fine little country bumpkin ass traverse this city without My assistance, it would be like watching a wrecking ball try and sneak through a glass factory... and of course, our sweet Lady Fall's assistance would be lost if our little compact was broken." Fawkes didn't fear this crimson-haired brute, quite the opposite, he knew that morons like her, Clan-leader or no, tended to be explicitly weakened when fighting an intellectual like him.
And just as He knew she would, Morrigan grunted, gritting her sharp fangs together as she laid back against the wall, her usual hostile look resuming its place on her pretty face.
"Are You finished?" Asked Lady Swan, the Short but sharply dressed woman pushing up the rim of her bowler hat to expose her extremely bright Red eyes "Fall and I are trying to observe the New one, He is why we are here, remember?" Swan said and Fawkes nodded, smiling at the curt British woman who stood beside Lady Fall, silently maintaining her bubble as they all watched the Black-haired Superior in front of them, talking with the raven-haired woman he had entered with as the Blonde mask-maker chuckled manically.
Fawkes was unsure how well that the four of them could get along, hell when Lady Swan had approached them in their respective homes, they shared a common doubt that tolerating each other was in any way realistic, but to Fawke's pleasant surprise, they had actually managed to stay relatively civil. Lady Fall was mostly silent, speaking sparingly in her Accented tone, the Japanese Vampire's face always cold and unfeeling, that was when Fawkes saw her that was, the woman was truly a ghost, evading all senses with her little invisibility filed power until she was needed for something. Swan, however, was quite a delightful woman, calm, well dressed, quite polite and of course very punctual, Fawkes, however, found it hard to talk to the Englishwoman, due to just how wound uptight she was, one string out of tune and she would protest with **** in a non-existent heartbeat.
Then of course... there was Morrigan, the beastly tall and amazonian Irishwoman, her hair a Blazing orange, her eyes an acute Silver, her face constantly fixed with a vicious visage, Fawkes wasn't a fan of her, compared to the Sawn and Fall who were measured to a degree, Morrigan was wild and hostile, hating everyone distinctly, especially Swan.
"That's that old English-Irish rivalry I suppose."
Fawkes thought as they all watched the New Guy, speak with his Black-Haired female companion, "So... any thoughts?" Swan finally said, breaking the silence between them as they watched Nox comfort his woman.
Morrigan scoffed "Like I said, He looks like a real prick to me, one of them goody too shoes bastards if I ever saw one." She spat again, making Fawkes narrow his eyes.
"Better that then an Idiotic Irish fiend, by Cain woman did ya buy Your stupid at a two for one sale?" Morrigan ignored him, though her face twitched slightly with anger "What's important is if he's the One, I mean He has a Lord's stone, that means the High court thinks He's legit but Is he really the Purest?" Fawkes' curiosity was unrelenting, He had asked many times since they had snuck into this demented studio, was this Newly-made Superior really Cain's chosen, if he was... then His favour had to be gotten as soon as possible as his right was the one to rule above all others.
Morrigan's eyes narrowed on the Young Superior, staring intently as she refused to answer him, luckily Lady Fall had a knack for speaking at just the right time.
"Is He like You?" Fall asked in her perfect English, despite her Japanese origins. Morrigan nodded slowly, turning her eyes to the rest of them as she smiled eerily
"Oh yes, He has a little Beasty in there for sure."
Vulcan finished her work, proudly strutting back over to Cleo and pushing her mask back into her chest "IT. IS. DONE." The Southern bell staring freakishly at Cleo who held it nervously in her pale hands "PUT IT ON... TRYIT TRYIT TRYIT TRYIT TRYIT TRYIT TRYIT TRYIT TRYIT TRYIT TRYIT TRYIT" She demanded in a tone that scared you slightly.
The Pale Beauty, her hair as black as night, looked up at You slightly apprehensive and exhausted, but You nodded to her encouragingly, watching as Cleo pressed her Cleopatra style mask to her face.
Cleo paused for a moment, looking around "W-Wow... These lenses, they are amazing." Cleo said, looking through her mask's new azure blue lenses around her room "It's like I can fine-tune my focus, everything is even clearer than usual-" Cleo pulled her mask away and smiled slightly "What did You do?"
Vulcan clapped her hands together on each word "Runic *CLAP* Perception *CLAP* Lense *CLAP* BIIITCH, tiny little baby Perception runes etched into the lenses allow for some wicked mad look-seeing, You can detect extremely rapid movement, withstand bright light with ease, and of course look like one stylish lady-Pharoah. don't say Mama don't do anything for ya!" Vulcan explained in her manic way, waving her arms around in celebration before freezing again and whispering "And of course, I scrubbed off that shitty Gerix Rune, I'll put the new one on with all the others!" Vulcan twisted away like a yo-yo, leaving You and Cleo to contemplate her upgrade.
"See, she's um...." You watched as Rudy did a perfect backflip into her trashcan, making the contents fly around the other side of the room "...Not too bad." You concluded, Cleo shrugged clicking her fingers as she whispered
"M'halia." You watching as her Mask melted into her skin, vanishing into her flesh as if it were never there
"That's not weird at all." You said cringing slightly
Cleo sighed "You can't feel it or anything, it only hurts a little when you draw it out." she said absently, rubbing her dark eyes before looking up at You "Are You going to call the others, I'm getting tired. You aren't stalling are You?"
"Why would I be stalling?" You asked quietly
"Well... You are the leader of an entire clan now, this is a big commitment, You must have some concerns, what they think about, if they are even willing to follow You, its a lot of Vampires to strong-arm into your command." Cleo had a point, this had indeed been on your mind, you were curious as to how to talk to all these people, you felt comfortable in dealing with individuals, finding out what people think and working on it, but how in the hell could you draw their truth out of them?
...Hmmmmm
"What? what kind of idea is that?"
Oh, you heard that? how did you hear that It was just a thought?
"We share a brain you idiot, Of course, I can hear some of your thoughts... although, that isn't a bad one, though I can see them getting pissed off."
Of course, they will get pissed off! that's the goddamn point, make them feel abandoned and they will speak in their fury!
"Hmm... okay, I'll give it a try, but I don't know if it's gonna work."
Oh ye of so little faith, just get in the damn ceiling already.
"Right, ladies, listen up I have a plan!" You said, making both Cleo and Vulcan look your way.
You explained the plan, short and simple. You would Summon the Noxium, go up into the hole that Vulcan had blown into the ceiling, retreat into your Beast's cage and become inactive, allowing you to listen freely as the Noxium assumed that You had left, allowing you to listen to their grievances in secret, like bait on a hook.
"This is a stupid idea." Cleo groaned, pointing at Vulcan "She'll blow our cover."
Vulcan's mouth hung open looking genuinely hurt "I'll have you know, I am a master of espionage, I promise Lord Nox, you'll not hear a peep out of me, and if you do... you can twist my nipples right off!" she shouted, grasping her own breasts tightly in her hand before covering her mouth "No shouting, rudy... must be quiet, quiet and sneaky."
You rolled your eyes "It'll be fine, just sit down in the corner and keep an eye on her Clo, everything will be fine." You said, touching the raven-haired woman's shoulder again and smiling, Cleo pressed her lips together, but looked much less disgusted than usual
"F-Fine. but this isn't going to work."
