Unexpected attitudes.

When Leonardo saw Seina leave his room last night, he didn’t get a glimpse at her face when she thanked him, so he didn’t know if she was being honest or not. Perhaps if he was better at using the new Gift he’d be able to tell by voice tone alone, but he wasn’t nearly that good.

It was the reason he was so fucking confused when morning came and both Seina and Lucia appeared in the kitchen while he was making breakfast. It wasn’t just that they were both up and looking healthy enough, but…

“Um… Good morning,” he greeted them. “Are you two feeling okay?” he asked carefully, looking away from the miso soup he was preparing.

“Yes,” Lucia answered, stretching her lethargic body. “I woke up at five in the morning and just couldn’t bear to stay in bed anymore.” She wore a genuine (if overly suggestive) smile on her face that at the very least told Leo she wasn’t angry at him. In fact, she walked around the counter and up to him, gently putting her hands on his right shoulder as she leaned on him and spoke in a low, flirty voice. “Boy, you really exceeded every expectation I had. I’m sorry about passing out on you. I hope you’ll let me redeem myself today.” She was wearing a light blue blouse that showed some tasteful cleavage and drew Leo’s eyes to it, but when he **** himself to avert his gaze and focus back on the soup, Lucia frowned and pressed her breasts against his arm. And after having to take care of last night’s… frustrations all by himself, her doing that pushed buttons Leo didn’t want to have pushed. Especially not by her, he had to admit.

He looked back to Seina for help, but what he saw was a fire of competition lighting in her eyes. She straightened her back, fixed her hair and walked up to Leonardo with a proud stride. “Now, now, Lucia-san, you’ve had your turn, but our business last night was left unfinished,” she told the blonde before turning to face him with eyes that could’ve boiled the soup by themselves while she put a hand on his other shoulder and spoke so close to his ear the warmth of her breath, plus the sound of her voice, was making him weak in the legs. “You were so good to me last night and I treated you like that at the end? I felt guilty immediately after. I had a deep, restful sleep and I’m able to stand here now thanks to your gentle touch, and yet I didn’t even pay you back for your attentions? Please, let me make it up to you.”

It was too much. Leo hand to take a step back from them. He wasn’t used to this. It was… weird, and wrong, and flattering, and way too arousing! The two women were glaring at each other now, even as each held onto one of his arms like some kind of romantic comedy skit.

“Well, it’s good to see you’re all feeling well after all that’s happened,” Mrs. Wisler’s voice came from the door as she chuckled. Leo turned to her for help, but froze when he saw Angela there as well, observing the scene, unamused.

“Um…” he was about to say something when his girlfriend made his way towards them. Pulling him by the collar of his shirt, she got him away from the older women and kissed him in front of everyone in the room.

“Good morning,” she told him with her usual cocky grin.

“G-Good morning,” he answered with a nervous chuckle.

“Keep fighting over him like that and the younger girls will take him away from you,” Mrs. Wisler told the two older women, laughing amusedly as she did. “Still, good to see you on your feet, Lucia. And Seina, it seems you didn’t have to go through the same as these three. That’s fortunate."

“Yes,” Seina answered, sighing and looking away from Lucia, thankfully giving up on the fight over him.

Kaede and Valerie arrived soon after, and the whole group sat down to eat. It was Mrs. Wisler once again who opened up the conversation with an important topic. “By the way, Angela,” she addressed the American girl. “The woman I told you about, the MMA instructor, will be arriving at this island later today. She sent me an email not long ago.”

“Oh!” Angela perked up at that. “Fucking finally!”

“Hey Leo, what did she say?” Valerie said, asking him for a translation. And when did she start calling him Leo? Anyway, it made him happy, so whatever.

“Angela’s been waiting for a professional MMA instructor to see if she’ll give her a good fight,” he explained. “Mrs. Wisler said she’d be arriving later today.”

“MMA?” Valerie blinked. “Huh…”

“She has a gym that’s further into the island. It’s a little out of the way, but it’s not hard to get there. She says you can go there after school. Here, I’ll send you the address.” Mrs. Wisler started tapping things on her phone screen, but after a few minutes of struggling, technology was proving to be too much for the old lady.

“Ugh, give me that!” Lucia said, taking the phone from her mother and quickly sending the address to Angela’s phone. “I swear, I don’t even know why you use one of these. Stick to the ones you know.”

“I would, but my flip phone finally broke and the company gave me this one,” Mrs. Wisler laughed.

They all finished eating breakfast and got ready to head out.

“What will you be doing today?” Mrs. Wisler asked her daughter.

“I’m going to the city,” she answered. “I need to buy some stuff. Need anything from there?”

“No, but thank you for offering.”

The students of the house gathered outside the gates and were about to leave as a group when Angela stopped them. “Hey, would you mind going on ahead of us?” she told Kaede and Valerie. “I need to have a chat with Mr. Stud, here.” She pointed at him with her thumb.

“You’re not going to… hit him, right?” Kaeda asked, slightly worried. It this why Leo says first impressions matter. Kaede now thinks Angela is a violent beast.

The comment didn’t bother Angela in the slightest and she only laughed in response. “Even if I did, this guy’s head is harder than a rock.” She knocked on his head to prove a point. “No, I just really need to talk to him. We’ll be at school on time.”

“Okay then…”

Both girls seemed ****, but complied after Leo pleaded with his eyes.
