Uneventful.

The workday was surprisingly uneventful. Despite their overt flirting, no one seemed to pick up that they were dating. Jess suggested that they take another trip to the storage room during lunch break again, but Katherine had them working non-stop.

“So do you want to go out for dinner again?” Frank asked, walking back to their cars.

“I would, but I cant. I have soccer practice tonight.” She answered, clearly disappointed.

“After?” Frank said hopefully.

“Sorry… James is picking me up.” Jess said softly.

“James?” Frank gave her a questioning look. Was she just having a casual romance with him? Was this not as serious as they agreed it could be?

“Yeah… look, I haven’t had the guts to break it off with him yet. I should have done it ages ago.” She replied, Frank breathed a sigh of relief.

“Oh, that’s okay. You are going to break up with him though?” he asked.

“Definitely!” She sounded almost shocked. “Frank, I know we’ve only been on one date, but I think I fucking love you. I am going to break up with James, as soon as I gain the courage.”

Frank looked at her and embraced her, “I think I fucking love you too.”

“Get a room.” Came a mutter from behind them. Jackson from sales, was getting into his car.

They laughed to each other and kissed passionately.

“Dinner tomorrow?” Jess suggested.

“Absolutely.”
